Review summary

Great time with a large group of family, Good food, Nice destinations. Not sure if cruising is my thing, too many people jammed into one place, buffet lines were insane, Not a lot of quiet time.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
We arrived at approximately 11:00am and had an relatively easy entrance onto the ship. Except for the representative trying to find the expiration on our birth certificates, I told her that would be a "death certificate" She didn't think that was funny. I know those that came even 30 minutes after us waited in extremely long lines.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Fairly well maintain & clean

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Overall the cabin was in a great location, accessible to everything quickly. The toilet seat wiggled because it was missing a screw. There was fermented fruit in our fridge from prior travelers so I do not know how much in depth cleaning happens from one trip to the next.

Ship tip

Get on as early as possible to avoid the rush. When departing, either get off first or last. The debarkation process is messy and not as organized as it needs to be. There is a lack of communication between the Norwegian reps and Customs. During the holidays it seems like Customs is short staffed which really affects the debarkation process,

Disembarkation

2 out of 5
Unfortunately this could have ruined the whole trip, for us it didn't but a lot of travelers were upset with the process or lack of one. No one stuck to their times and everyone basically left when they wanted. Customs didn't help the situation by being short staffed and then we were running into the peopl coming on for the next cruise, It was a complete mess. Norwegian needs to look at ensuring there is a list of passengers and departure times and it's adhered to. Nicely and politely. It would have avoided all of the entitled folks leaving whenever they wanted to.

Book on a smaller ship. The experience will be totally different.

Dont always have to have meals at the buffet. Most times you can have a sit down breakfast and lunch at one of the mdrs. Beats the madness at the lido deck.
