Review summary

As a long time Norwegian line fan (1992), my husband and I were VERY disappointed. We LOVE to cruise; however, we will look into other lines in the future.

Fair - They need more terminals opened for embarkation. In fact, the crowd was getting unruly.

Poor! We have always had a great experience especially in the specialty restaurants. Not so, this time! Felt very rushed, needed to ask for water and bread, entree was cold and sent back.

The complaint is that they are being offered/asked to purchase photos, drink packages, specialty dining, etc. I understand but that is what crew are expected to do. Just say NO and walk away, you don't have to buy the items. I think off nickel and dimeing as being charged more for something I have already purchased.

What are they exactly nickle and diming everyone on? Last time we were on Carnival and didnt have the overlypriced drink package, they were always trying to upcharge you for another shot in your drink. That to me is nickel and diming.

Agree 100%. This was our 4th NCL and by far, the worst cruise. Disorganized and nickel and diming all over the place. We have decided to try another cruise line next.

If you don't use or need a water slide, climbing wall or ropes course, choose a smaller class of ship. The food and service will usually be better because of fewer people on board.

We treated staff good the room Steward gave my BF a big hug because we gave him a very nice tip at the end.Even though we already tipped.Some crew yes not as friendly but not rude and maybe they haven’t seen there families in months or something bad happened etc.I try not to sweat the Small things.

We were on the Breakaway in 2013. Some things have changed and not for the better. Disembarking should not take the 90 minutes that I had to wait in line. Some of the staff need to be a little more empathetic and when I pay extra for Cagneys I do expect hot food

The Breakaway isn't my fav, because of the size, but the 2 cruises I've been on have been good. My cabins were always clean, the staff was nice, except the cruise director on the 1st cruise, she was a witch. Other then that, the food and entertainment was great. On a side note, the ship is going in for refurbishment in the spring.

Were you on the November 26 cruise?I got to the terminal at 10Am and we were on before 12AM.We were color gray getting off and we were off the ship at 8:30 and driving home by 8:45.

Wow..don't hear many complaints on ncl...what happened...only problem I had with the breakaway was it was too big. .can't wait to get back to,cagneys. Lol
