As many of us have been apprehensive about going anywhere since pandemic started, I am glad we took the plunge and went on this cruise. We worried more than we had to before we left but enjoyed ourselves more this time. The ship was half-full and everything felt normal in and out of the ship during the cruise (except for a few masking requirements in public transportation and optional at some ship venues.
Visited Naples previously so we took a shore excursion to Capri on our own. Free shuttle to terminal which is close to ticket office for hydrofoil to Capri. It is doable but plan ahead and get an early start. It can get crowded.
Took shore excursion to Carthage and Medina. I wouldn't feel safe to go on our own. We had a police escort for 3 busses and a security detail in each bus. Overall an opportunity to visit historic places.
Bought shuttle tickets from ship to city. The city was vibrant and there were lots of interesting things to see, places to visit on foot and restaurants to eat in.
Another paid transfer to city center. We visited city on our own, walked up to the castle, rode cable car and walked La Rambla, very crowded and we tried to make way back to ship.
Took paid shuttle transfer to city about 15 min drive. On our own explored town on foot. Has beautiful architecture, interesting places to see and plenty of restaurants. Market place has lots of great food to eat.
Nice 5 minute walk to city center from ship. Beautiful port city with many attractions to see. We decided to make an easy day here visiting Roman Theater & other ruins. Start early because there's a 3 hr siesta. This is a relaxing port stop and loved it.
We walked about 15-20 minutes to city center from ship. Been here previously so we just walked around town. Lots of shops and restaurants. It was very festive that day as preparations for Queen's jubilee was on its way.
Always a thrill to visit this beautiful city. We walked from/to ship and all over. Plenty to keep your senses engaged and make lots of memories. I will keep coming back😍
Visited here previously so took transfer shuttle (ship excursion) to Santiago de Compostela once again to visit our favorite places (church, restaurant and food).
Did not think much of this port stop previously but had a great time walking the city, beach promenade and took a bus ride to small resort town of Bridport to have lunch and enjoy the English countryside.
We opted to take shore excursion to Mont St-Michel. With an excellent guide we had a well organized tour giving us plenty of time for a visit inspite of 2 hr travel time each way. Worthwhile excursion!
