All already said. Really, I can’t submit without 50 characters? Okay, cut and paste coming. I was expecting more. There wasn’t enough for picky eaters. The pizza left much to be desired. The wait staff in the main dining room was not up to par, but perhaps it’s because they mostly cater to an older crowd. We had our kids and grandkids and the wait was horrific and too much for young kids. We did try to get their food first, but only happened once. I told the waiter first thing that if they don’t put the kids orders in first and get them in reasonable time, all these tables around us will not have a good dining experience. That worked, but it was the last evening when we had charge of the grandkids and the parents had a specialty dinner planned. The buffet didn’t have enough variety either. They were great on Sushi and Asian, if you eat that. It was all clean though and the wait staff at the buffet was awesome, no matter when we were there and no matter how messy the kids were, which the baby spilled something every day! I must say, the Thanksgiving Turkey on the buffet was the best turkey I ever had. They did us right for this day. The dining room was a zoo, so just couldn’t put the kids through that and to my surprise, they rocked the day with their Tday buffet.

We enjoyed our cruise and are looking forward to our next one.

This is my 23 cruise on Holland America and 4th on Nieuw Amsterdam. Our loyalty was reinforced by the cleanliness, food quality and consistent outstanding service of the employees.

We enjoyed the cruise very much. HAL does a good job with basics like food, logistics, well trained staff, and cleanliness. Their evening entertainment depends largely on the so-called "music walk" of Billboard on Board (pianos), B.B. King (blues) and Lincoln Center (classical), which are excellent but often fill up early. Evening stage shows are not a strong suit - 2 decent dance programs, 2 comedians and movies. Ports are the usual for the Carribbean and HAL is excellent in the logistics of getting people off and back on.

Great relaxing cruise. Buffet can be frustrating at times.

Loved the ship and love Holland America. We’ve cruises several cruise lines but Holland America is our favorite so far.

We enjoyed our cruise immensely. We were very disappointed with the lack of onboard activities ( line dancing opportunities, organized games/sports, etc. and quickly realized that our active adult children would be very bored. It seemed like there was no entertainment staff with the exception of a CD and an ED. The food was excellent and the ship beautiful.

Staff were amazing, food was good although portions were pretty small (you could ask for more) Dress code in the dining room is non existent, one guy was in Paint covered ripped jeans and scruffy t-shirt, even on formal nights (gala nights) some people in fitness/training clothes or in hoodies and jeans! Entertainment was not good, so if you like going to the shows don't count on this cruise! Overall dissapointed but Alaska is stunning!

Good weather for Late September. Global warming is diminishing Glacier Bay. Great on-board experience and entertainment.

Holland America is the only way for me as they have the best food and service, I always enjoy this cruise line after trying others.

First cruise, so glad we did it with Holland America. There was not one thing that was disappointing, Holland America truly wants you to have a Fantastic Experience .

Very enjoyable week for our first ever cruise. The weather held, apart from a mucky day in Juneau. Our inside cabin on deck 1 was super comfortable and quiet. The talks were great, the shows ok. Wish I’d know to use the bow camera on the tv to see outside and have some light inside the room. MDR food was not as good as the buffet, so we chose to eat there most times. I’d have been happy to stay onboard.

Lovely ship, great for walking on deck 3, one mile is 3 laps. Spotlessly clean. All food in the buffet is served to you, which prevents germs spreading. Large cabin with bath, plenty of storage for clothes.

All in all we enjoyed it..The food on deck was good in the morning.Our order in was excellent..The workers are all hard working..

This was our first cruise, the ship and service was brilliant. Watching whales while you are having breakfast can't get any better.

Overall it was a great adventure. The inside passage out of Vancouver is the way to go. Have done the 7 day out of Seattle but not much scenery 12 miles off shore in the gulf of Alaska. Great itinerary.

The cruise through the Glaciers was amazing. It was great seeing the icebergs. If I cruised Alaska again I would choose a different ship with better food and entertainment

First time cruisers. All vistas were incredible. We live in BC and are used to mountains, glaciers, wildlife, ocean & lakes, etc. However, Alaska is it's own beautiful place all together. I highly recommend this cruise. Getting food poisoning and losing two days was unfortunate, but at least it was last port with no excursions and I went home about 5 pounds lighter even with eating all day long!

The Nieuw Amsterdam staff and services were excellent! Would love to take cruise on Nieuw Amsterdam again.
