Have an open mind. Life on Meraviglia was not like life on a sunny Caribbean cruise. Fellow cruisers were of various age, culture and sophistication. There was a large group of Japanese cruisers that I enjoyed watching as they dressed in their traditional garments, took pictures and interacted as thought the rest of the world did not exist.
If you want lots of activities & lots of food, this is not the ship for you. Trying to pre-book excursions & Cirque show prior to cruise a nightmare. MSC web site impossible to navigate & unresponsive.
Don't use the expensive bus which MSC presents to you but take a taxi, it's much cheaper and faster. Always check your bill, they charge you things you even didn't order.
Reception desk (for bill dispute and lost and found). Long queue but its pretty quick. 5-6 counters. I requested for the EUR10 daily service charge to be waived. Done. No questions asked.
I have no doubt that the MSC Yacht Club Area is the best option for a relaxed and peaceful vacation,
If you like to promenade, to dine in nice diningrooms, nice shows in the theater, and chocolade, this is your ship. It is a chocolatery on board, you can look what they create. And you have a lot of shops, a casino, special restaurants like sushi, browerie and Steakhouse.

Make sure you know what to do for your excursions. Makes the trip better and easier.
Easy to get lost on the cabin floors with a number of inner hallways.
Just enjoy the wonderful experience
unless they change things, I would choose another ship. this one has been sailing since June 2017, still working out the kinks
Please do not bring cash around you in side the ship, survellance is not very good, a lot of things dissappearing. I lost my Gold Plated Sagrada Familia coin and Euros while playing roulette or dropped in the plaza emporium.
Book the Blue lagoon excursion and spa ( sea day) in advance because it sells out.
There are better cruises Msc is using its marketing to rope in clients but am sure once bitten twice shy I wouldn't cruise with msc again
Too many people and average food. Not a lot of menu options at sit down dinner restaurant.
On our cruise (9. - 16. July 2017) there was no Italian night, instead of that we had Mediterranean night. The dress code was casual. On deck 5 and 6 the temperature was really low. I was cold all the time on those two decks. MSC for me is a really useful app and I recommend that you all download it. The 4D cinema was awesome! The waterslides were great. We tried the crepes at the promenade and they were really delicious.
Para jantar, utilizem o Buffet no 15º andar, é mais rápido do que utilizar os restaurantes.
