Review summary

We had lot of stresses within our cruise on Meraviglia (cons): 1. After embarkation at Brooklyn Cruise Terminal all our items in the delivered luggage were wet. My luggage was kept under the heavy rain before delivery. 2. In Miami BigBus Company started our Hop-on Hop-out excursion at 9:00 am on the pier near Meraviglia. It was no synchronization between information from headphones and reality. The excursion finished at 11:00 near the shopping mall three miles from Meraviglia. A lot of old people have had to wait for the shuttle bus for two hours without air conditioners. 3. In the Marketplace Buffet some of people pushed me out from counter to take bananas, apples or grape. Probably the buffet hasn’t enough places to take out these fruits. 4. Day after leaving Nassau around 9:00 am a heavy fume a smell of painting came to our stateroom #12075. We complained to the Service. Next minutes the officer came to our stateroom. He told us that painting is provided at desk 7, and he will try to stop it. But it was too late, fumes intoxicated the air condition system. During the whole day we couldn’t use our stateroom. Painters forgot to protect air intake holes. 5. Several times I attempted to eat beef in the restaurant Waves (10), but it was too hard. Usually on cruise lines, the last day dinner is delicious and has the best quality. But at Meraviglia we had the opposite experience. Beef pizzaiola was hard and not eatable. How is it possible to make the beef pizzaiola hard? I asked waiters to bring me swordfish instead the beef. But fish also was not the best. Finally I had my Dinner in the buffet. 6. Gelato at the desk 6 is overpriced, over sweetened and is not the same as real Italian Gelato. A lot of positive impressions we had also on Meraviglia (pros): 1. Eduin Godoy our Cabin # 12075 Steward from Honduras was the best for all our cruises. We had home-like filing in our stateroom. Everything was clean and very comfortable. We are ready to take the next cruise in any stateroom where Eduin will be our steward. Thank you, Eduin! 2. In Meraviglia restaurants (10) Waves and Panorama we met very professional staff: Ravindra Bora Waiter India Glaizel Suarez Dinning Services Philippines Dragoljub Pejovich Head Waiter Montenegro Ghiocel Postolache Restaurant Manager Romania Orlando Luna Head Waiter Honduras Alexis Asuncion Ass. Waiter Philippines Dayanara Tirona Waiter Philippines I Kadek Indra Head Waiter Indonesia Say our THANK YOU! To all of them. It was a very comfortable and professional service. 3. With any questions we attended the Guest Service desk. Japheth Mashengu Guest Service Agent Kenya solved any our problems on the highest professional level. Special THANK YOU to Japheth! Because of Japheth we are ready to take next cruise on Meraviglia. 4. Some of the food was very tasty. All the soups were very good. The mashed potato was very tasty. Ice cream in restaurants always was good. 5. Embarkation and disembarkation were very well organized.
