I have been on many cruises and wasn’t sure about a new cruise line, this one rated at the very top. I love MSC !!

I wont say I didn't enjoy the cruise, i truly did. but, for the price, I was disappointed with MSC in general, specifically for the surprise gratuity 2 days in without notice, the dinner wait for basic food, the bar service and the wait to wait to wait upon disembarkation. Overall, I had a good time, but there are areas that keep this brand from getting over the three star level. I think with better staffing at the bar and a kitchen on a close floor to the dining area would improve efficiency. Waiting two hours for a basic 3 course meal was ridiculous.

My first time with MSC. I had to clean my own balcony when I arrived plus the trash was keep up the next day. I always had to check the app after I pay something because they will charge different or someone else. The menu app thing did not work for me sometimes was giving me problems and some places had menus and some did not. So I would walk out if my phone is not working and I can't get a menu. And the bar are selected not all bars service are the same drinks. So if I get something special I have to go to two different bars and sometimes I have to wait more than 40 minutes for a drink because theirs only 2 people working. Also I card on file . I never added my card on file because I was afraid of charges and then I had to fight with the bank. So when I did not add my card every where I go they would say out loud I did not have money on my account to add my card of file and everyone would hear it. I would feel ashamed everytime I go to the bar and hear that.

I have cruised quite often. This cruise being the 2nd out of 4 for this year with multiple cruise lines. Although the ship itself is beautiful, the poor customer service,lack of staff positive enthusiasm and knowledge overshadowed.

It's a real shame the bar service was so bad, because the ship was beautiful - modern and clean. Most everything else about the ship was very good, hence the two stars instead of one. . I simply could not get a drink without a HUGE effort. I would wait 45 min - 1 hour in a bar line, only to be told when I finally got to the front of the line that they were out of basics like tonic, ice, orange juice, particular beer brands, etc...... Every single bar was MASSIVELY understaffed and ill-supplied. The workers who were there were very good and trying very hard, but there simply were not nearly enough of them to meet the demand. It was so bad I simply considered it a deal breaker. If I had purchased a drink package, I would have felt like it was blatant robbery - charging for something they could not/would not provide. I would have fought for a refund. It's pure false advertising to offer "unlimited drinks" (or a large number of daily drinks) when it is impossible to actually obtain that promised amount of drinks. This was my first cruise with MSC, and it will be my last. I took this cruise as a "scouting trip" for our group of 15-20 regular cruisers, looking for other cruise lines to patronize. Obviously, I am advising my group to steer clear of MSC (as well as all reading this review). This photo was the bar in the casino. ONE guy behind the bar, and all those pissed-off people waiting forever trying to get a drink. Notice that nobody in this pic has a drink. Net result? The two largest money-makers for cruise lines, bar service and casino, received very, very little money from me because of the poor service. While I was wasting hours standing in line trying to get a drink, I could have been in the casino gambling. I also did not purchase a drink package (thankfully!), so I was unable to spend NEARLY as much as I wanted to on drinks. They are losing dollars trying to save nickels. BIG MISTAKE, MSC! You lost out on future cruises with my group of 15-20 due to this horrible service.

We had issues before even boarding the ship! Mixed messages about drinks packages, first I was told we could purchase them at $59/pp/day. Which we were fine with! But when I called back to book it, the representative said that was never an option and 3 night cruise with MSC don’t sell drink packages… BUT THEY INCLUDE UNLIMITED WITH CERTAIN TICKETS… so weird, why not offer people an unlimited drinks package the first day of you offer it to some guests? Either way, past that customer service was depressingly lack luster and the ship was nothing to write home about. If we ever decide to give MSC a second chance, it will be on a newer ship. But for now, this was our first and last MSC cruise…

Very easy covered parking at the port. Quick and easy embarkation. Plenty of seating around the boat. Staff needed more stock for drinks at the bar and a little better training.

This was a great getaway. It was not far from home for us. It was a great deal for a balcony room and the drink package

Slow service and staff is mismanaged so they don’t really know what’s going on.

The cruise was overall decent, and for the price, it was precisely what was expected. I am incredibly disappointed with our travel agent Stacey Walker. I feel like I was misled and not informed enough. I wanted a drink package! I called stacey and she said they offer it. It was early so I thought to myself wait. I waited a month or so and called her back, she said she would call me back. She never did!! I called MSC and said they don't offer drink packages for 3 day cruises for this company they offer it as a promotion through your travel agent. I called Stacey back and she told me the promotion is sold. I wish this was comunicated to me at the original time. I had no way of knowing that the ship did not offer this. Stacey also explained that our room would be upgraded. It wasn't!! Drinks price approx 500$ Wifi 155 $$ If Stacey would have communicated this with me I would have saved money. I suppose this company doesn’t want customers to save money.

This was the first and last time I will ever cruise with MSC. The entertainment was spotty at best, the food was fine (I have pretty low standards) and the dinner service was abhorrent. This was easily the worst cruise my wife and I have ever been on. I am easy to please, and the fact that I'm so negative on this experience was mostly due to service issues and managerial decisions. I believe that you can attend the same cruise and have a great time. We are a family of teachers, so we'lI go on a cruise every couple of years. Throughout the past 20+ years I've always been amazed at the service that we received on every other ship I've experienced. Overall, this was a big disappointment, and the first time I was ready to go home at the end of the time on the ship.

We will not sail with MSC again! Worst cruiseline we've ever sailed on!

excellent cruise and we really enjoyed it! the ship was amazing, ocean cay was beautiful, and we will be back!

On first day at the worst point of the total chaos in the buffet area I literally said "Never Again!" to the people around me in the longest food line I've ever seen on a cruise ship and with no floor managers around to complain to. But I mellowed out by the end and give this cruise a solid "C," meaning I might give them another try someday. It was really the system that failed, not the people (who were generally great), and that's fixable.

In general found the ship accommodations and amenities good, food and drink availability seemed to suffer from supply chain or poor procurement planning. Most experienced cruisers we met had the same feedback i.e., facilities and rooms nice, food and drink lacking.

This was our first sailing on MSC and given all the negative reviews we read prior to our cruise we were pleasantly surprised with our experience.

We will be back! Great boat! We had a great time!

This was my first MSC cruise. I thought the ship was beautifully designed. I was happy with the price but disappointed in the bar service and the quality of the food overall, even breakfast reminded me of cheap. I would go back on the cruise again it was a bargain. I typically sail on NCL - as a comparison.
