I have cruised quite often. This cruise being the 2nd out of 4 for this year with multiple cruise lines. Although the ship itself is beautiful, the poor customer service, lack of staff positive enthusiasm and knowledge overshadowed.
Embarkation
3 out of 5
Ok. We had to bring in our own luggage since we happened to spot it on another floor and feared it getting lost and not making it to our room!
Ok. The sound stage control made it obvious that the mic 🎤 only worked well for the favorite performer.
Children's Programs
No children
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Had to repeatedly request wash cloths and towels. No pool towels. No facial tissue. The tables were never cleaned in the room. Only saw the room steward once. The buffet dining room kept running out of coffee and tea and juice. No midnight buffet. No food selection after hours other then dry pizza with no toppings.
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
The ship is beautiful for the most part. But for a relatively new ship it has much to be desired. Not enough lounge areas with live music and diversity. Clearly evident that they were short staffed. No drinks offered,no table service in lounge areas or shows. Common areas were not cleaned adequately. Trash and food under tables.
Cabin / Stateroom

I had to re-request everything. Additional pillows, separate beds (from king to twin),towels.Even after specifying this with my travel agency.
Ship tip
Double check and reconfirm all requests made with your travel agent. Don’t expect them to be prearranged as requested. Having no high expectations will result in fewer disappointments!
This would have been an excellent repeated visit for me had the ship’s personnel upon returning to the ship been professional and courteous. I was harassed and humiliated repeatedly for bringing a seashell. I had done this in the past visit and didn’t know it was no longer allowed. I have glaucoma and very poor vision so was not aware of the change. All that was ok. What was not ok was the woman checking my bag making a spectacle and screaming and yelling at me. My guess is she wanted to use me as an example for others. I finally had to ask her if she was going to shoot me or throw me in jail to do it just to get her to stop the humiliation. Then she just laughed at me but kept up the humiliation. At that point I vowed never to cruise MSC again!
Have read a ton of mixed reviews regarding MSC. They're coming to NY next month and I hope they have their act together. New Yorkers won't put up with rude crew and disappointing food. I'm sailing on her In May, so we'll see.
People either love or hate MSC. It is well publicized in multiple locations that you were not to bring shells or other things back from Ocean Cay on to the ship.
