Very poor experience. We will not cruise on MSC again.

Embarkation was about 30 minutes. A pleasant experience. Much better than many of the you-tube videos that have posted recently.

Food and Dining

The main dining room food was marginal at best. I am not a foodie. The food was very bland and was lukewarm when it was served. The buffet had so many delays at every food station. The stations are set up in a straight line so all of the people wait in line for 10 minutes or longer. This was a common complaint from other cruisers we spoke with.
Onboard Activities

The fitness center had plenty of cardio machines but the weight machines and dumbells were very few. Not enough for more than 5 people to use weights at one time. The smoking area at the main pool was packed with smokers and the smell of smoke was very common throughout the entire pool area.
Entertainment

The Hypnosis show was great.
The Houdini show was horrible. We left after 20 minutes into the show.

No children accompanied us on this cruise.
Service and Staff

Bars: The bartenders work very hard but there is not enough of them. A minimum 15 minute wait every time to get a drink from the bars. Is this a tactic of MSC to cut down on the number of drinks they serve with a drink package?? We wondered about that. Room steward was great. Ship personnel were always helpful and mostly pleasant. However, there is not enough ship personnel as many times it was difficult to find someone to ask a question.

Cleanliness: I was very hard to find a clean table in the pool areas and in some of the bars. They do not have enough ship staff to clean the tables, remove empty bottles and glasses. Ship design was very nice. The layout in the cabin area was very confusing. It was hard to find our cabin. Many other cruisers had the same problem.

Cabin was nice for an inside cabin. Very comparable to other cruise lines.
Ship tip
If this is your first cruise then go and enjoy it. If you have sailed on any other cruise line you will be very disappointed.
