Apparently, MSC ships require the actual room key, not a substitute like other cruise lines.

Thanks for the review. If that was the worst thing that happened pack an old card to put in the slot on your next cruise. It won't know the difference. Don't understand the $12 issue.

Appreciate your feedback. You get used to putting a card into the slot wit practice. Didn’t understand about the $12 dollars. Why would have a refund that you didn’t clear up before bed the night before. Sorry you had these unusual issues.
