"Magnificent Marriner" by ScottZ

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Mariner of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The best part of our cruise was sailing on the Mariner of the Seas ship. It was a smooth sailing luxury ship that had everything that we could want to see and do. I thought that everything on the ship was first class inclulding the room, the entertainment and the food. We enjoyed meeting some new people and we never felt rushed or bored.

Another great Royal Caribbean Cruise by KelliK1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Mariner of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

I love Royal Caribbean Voyager Class Ships. The Mariner of the Seas was no exception. The Royal Prominade is such a spectacular centerpiece of the ship. I love the Cafe Prominade, where you can get free snacks 24/7. Also, the dining room is fabolous. Last year I was on Carnival Glory, where the dining room was so tacky and overdone, it was refreshing to have such a gorgous place to enjoy dinner. The food was great! Most nights my brother would order two entrees and the waiter would happily bring it. The ice skating show was very impressive and you can free skate during the day if you want to hit the ice. Overall, I would recommend the Mariner or any of RCCL's Voyager class ships to anyone!

"Truly exceptional cruise!" by TeresaL3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Mariner of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We have sailed on other ships but this was one of the best experiences we have had. It was our first time on Royal Caribbean's ships and we found it to be a wonderful experience. The Mariner of the Seas is a big ship with lots to see. The promenade deck was a day in itself. The staff, food and services were exceptional. Can't wait until we can sail again!

An amazing experience by JeffreyH1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)

The ship reminded me of a floating vegas. I thought that the ship was well maintained and very beautiful. The designers did not skip out on details in the bars, restaraunts, and casino. I enjoyed looking at the artwork that decorated the walls around the stairs. Overall, the ship was pleasing to the eye and I noticed new details every time I turned around.

Great Cruise by DannyH1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Mariner of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The cruise was amazing (much better than what we expected.) Staff was friendly and attentive. Amazingly the shopping center inside the ship was moderatly priced. The shows were great! We had a blast every night at the featured show. Royal Caribbean does a great job in regards to entertainment on board. Even though the acholoic drinks were not included in the cruise price they were moderatly priced. The selection of food was incredible. The always had fresh bread/pastries and fruits. There was so much to do on board we did not get to participate in a lot of the activities. The only thing I was not happy with was that I was promised a bottle of Champagne and a "pecial dinner" because it was our honeymoon). It never happened. The Guest Services reprenative on board the ship told me they were not informed of any such thing. Becareful what these sales represenatives tell you when you are bookings the cruise. They might promise things just to make the sale. Over all I would recommend this cruise.

A Great Vacation by PhyllisH3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Mariner of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We recently sailed on the Mariner of the Seas for the first time, and I loved it. The ship was beautiful . There were granite counters everywhere, marble and stone floors and nice fixtures. The Spa area and Gym were great! The food was very good and the service as well. I didn't try any of the restaurants that cost extra, but I spoke to people who did and they said the food was fantastic. I might go for it next time. The activities and entertainment were also great. They have a crazy Cruise Director, she and her staff keep things fun! The Windjammer buffet was nice it's like a cool marketplace/food court with many choices, stations you can approach from all sides (so no endless line!). Very wide-open and airy feeling, a huge step up from the typical ship buffet. We loved all the nightlife options. Even my 14 year daughter had a great time staying out until 1 am enjoying decent and safe teen activities (tons of scheduled activites including a PROM!) The storage elements inside the cabins were a godsend. There were three of us with a total of eight pieces of luggage and we managed quite well. We were able to unpack and felt like there was a place for everything (use the space under the best to store suit cases). Overall we have to say the ship was really impressive, most of the staff was wonderful . I would sail on Mariner again!

A fantastic cruise! by MargaretC4

Ship: Mariner of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Cruising on the Mariner of the Seas was one of the best travel experiences of our lives. My husband and I traveled with our 13 and 16 year olds and everyone had a blast. We all liked the shows. The food was great and for the kids to be able to get a light snack pretty much any time was a definate plus for them. The activities on board were great and the effort by the crew to entertain and serve was outstanding. The ports of call were all beautiful.

We went on the Mariner of the Sea. For my husband and I this was our 4th cruise, for my twin and her husband it was their first. We had a fantastic time. Since it was our 4th cruise, I knew what to expect but the Mariner of the Sea made me go WOW several times. The ship layout, design and accomodations were fantastic!

Better than I expected by TimS22

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Mariner of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The Mariner of the seas was fantastic starting with our balcany room that was very clean and plenty of room to relax. All the mirriors in the bathroom made you feel great and roomy. closet space was more than I expected it made it nice.I loved the veiws from every floor twards the royal prominade it really showed how huge the ship was.and having elevaders with glass also made the inside veiws of the ship exciting. When we first went to eat we went right up to the food at the windjammer buffet and thought the selections were great. the next time we went to eat we walk around a little more and could not belive all tha seating with great veiws and the more choices of food that we didn't see the first time. Each day offered differant food at differant areas of the ship with Chops Grill being the best, the 10 oz. fillet was the best steak I have ever had and I usaually send back more steaks than I am satisfide with. The shows remided me of being in Vegas and the pool side games reminded me of Cancun. loved everything and can't wait to go on another Royal Caribbean cruise maybe the Freedom of the seas as a new expereance.

An Awesome Vaction by AliciaV1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Mariner of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

This was our first cruise we have been on, and it was 100% better than we expected. On the cruise you feel worry free, the last thing in your mind is how you are going to pay the car bill. Everything was ready the second you needed it: fun, food, a clean room. When you are on these cruises you feel like royalty. I cant say exactly what was the best thing because everything was amazing.

Honeymoon Cruise of a Lifetime! by MatthewV

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Mariner of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

When we arrived at the airport we found out that the previous cruise had arrived with 260 sick passengers. They had acquired the Norovirus which is pretty common at this time of year for cruises to the carribbean. Upon arrival to the airport, Royal Carribbean explained everything to us and informed us the ship was being sanitized and we would be boarding around 2:30. As promised, we were on the ship, had a buffet lunch, and the boat was very clean and sanitary. Every measure to keep us safe and keep the eating conditions clean were taken and there were no cases of Norovirus on our trip. This virus is very common and is introduced by an outside source from one of the ports and not the food on the ship. The cruise line approached the situation with greatest care and made sure the ship was safe and that we had a great time on the weeklong trip. My advice is to keep from eating off the boat at shady looking establishments. Wash your hands when you go the bathroom. Wash and or use sanitizer before you eat (sanitizer dispensers are on the boat at all the eating areas and in the gangways). Its as simple as that and you won't get sick. We had so much fun and the boat has so much to offer as well as fun excursions and great food and entertainment. I do recommend booking excursions at each port of call - they are organized and better than taking a chance on a shady tour. Save a few dollars to play the snowball jackpot in bingo if it makes it to the last day - the jackpot was over $6,700 and someone must take it home by the last day! The crew is so friendly and helpful - you are treated like a king and your every request is fulfilled. I also recommend spending the few extra dollars for a room with a balcony - it is so worth it!

Mariner of the Seas is one of the cleanest ships we have ever been on. This is our 7th cruise, first with RCCL. We are impressed. They really did an outstanding job in every aspect. The kid's program was unbelievable.

This cruise is our second one in 3 years and it was one of the best that we have taken. Just seing the ship from the freeway, a mile away put us in an Ahh! Is kinda funny that the ship beside us, is one of the Disney ship that we took 3 years ago. We rate both ship excellent 7 days cruising and we will be back for both ship in the future.

A great vacation! by AngieF1

Sail date: / Traveled as:
Ship: Mariner of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

It is a beautiful ship with a lot to keep a family busy! The people who were nice and helpful, were extremely nice and helpful--and the people who were rude, were very rude. The staff who attended to us daily (stateroom attendant, dining staff, kids program staff) were wonderful. I also ejoyed the hot stone massage the spa offered but I do not recommend a pedicure. It is overpriced and is a poor service. Do utitlize the children's programs. There are cool activities for the older kids and a program to keep the younger ones busy all day. My four year old couldn't wait until it was auquanots time. She had a great vacation and so did I!Take a cruise, enjoy the ship, overlook a few rude crewmembers, revel in the attention and great service provided by the rest, keep your kids busy, relax a little, have a massage, and skip the pedicure. I'm sure there's a great spa/salon at home!

Fabulous Cruise by DianaT3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Mariner of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

This was a second voyage on Mariner of the Seas and I can't say enough about the ship. The pomenade feature is great, our stateroom with balcony was spacious, had plenty of storage for our clothing etc. The bathrooms on the Mariner are very adequate. Curved showers are a big plus, small space but you feel like there is more room. The ship was full and we had approximately 1000 chikdren but you wouldn't have known it so that tells me the "adventure program" must be a hit. We found the entertainment better than the previous time on the Mariner. Overall it was a fabulous experience and it is obvious R.C. is doing a great job making it the best they can for all of us.

First time cruise... by TonyC2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Mariner of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We sailed on the Mariner of the Seas for the first time this past week. The ship itself was beautiful, the room was spacious, and the food was absolutely delicious! As far as the cruise went, there was always something to do, the crew was very friendly and helpful, and the time really flew by. Most of the community on the ship consisted of couples and families with older teenage children. Not much to do for the single travellers, but all in all, a great cruise.
