Review summary

When we arrived at the airport we found out that the previous cruise had arrived with 260 sick passengers. They had acquired the Norovirus which is pretty common at this time of year for cruises to the carribbean. Upon arrival to the airport, Royal Carribbean explained everything to us and informed us the ship was being sanitized and we would be boarding around 2:30. As promised, we were on the ship, had a buffet lunch, and the boat was very clean and sanitary. Every measure to keep us safe and keep the eating conditions clean were taken and there were no cases of Norovirus on our trip. This virus is very common and is introduced by an outside source from one of the ports and not the food on the ship. The cruise line approached the situation with greatest care and made sure the ship was safe and that we had a great time on the weeklong trip. My advice is to keep from eating off the boat at shady looking establishments. Wash your hands when you go the bathroom. Wash and or use sanitizer before you eat (sanitizer dispensers are on the boat at all the eating areas and in the gangways). Its as simple as that and you won't get sick. We had so much fun and the boat has so much to offer as well as fun excursions and great food and entertainment. I do recommend booking excursions at each port of call - they are organized and better than taking a chance on a shady tour. Save a few dollars to play the snowball jackpot in bingo if it makes it to the last day - the jackpot was over $6,700 and someone must take it home by the last day! The crew is so friendly and helpful - you are treated like a king and your every request is fulfilled. I also recommend spending the few extra dollars for a room with a balcony - it is so worth it!

Waverunners are the best excursion. I also recommend the Powerboat tour. The island is quiet and safe.
Don't Miss: Waverunners

Ocho Rios, Jamaica

Kind of a tourist trap - we actually went back to the boat because there were so many shady people hounding us for taxi rides and hair braiding. I suggest booking a tour to the Falls instead of going out on your own. Dont take one of those shady taxi "tours" they are a rip off!!!

Cozumel, Mexico

The oceanfront seemed devastated by last years hurricane and we walked for about 20 minutes and saw nothing but a lot of construction and no shops. There are plenty of open shops at the port but we want to walk around and shop that day and did not find much.

George Town, Grand Cayman

Nicest Port of Call on the trip
Don't Miss: Stingray City

Pros: Where do I start? - Everything was so amazing!

Cons: Nothing.
