Get to the gym, especially early, on sea days to beat the crowd.

Best to book a hotel near the port a day before. Make sure you confirm your seating arrangements as soon as you get on the ship.

Starboard balcony northbound gives incredible views of the snowy mountains.

We opted for Anytime Dining. When we got to our assigned dining room the first night, we were asked if we had a reservation, answered no and received a gizzmo that lights up when it's time to be seated. Did not realize you had to make reservations for a certain time. Will opt for late dining!

Take time to get to know the staff at the service desk, photographer desk, boutiques and other crew members. They are aware from their homes and family for a long time (9 -12 months). They love it when a passenger takes time to visit with them and ask where they are from and about their family,

The excursions got to be a little lengthy and would probably do shorter ones next time.

You will love it.

Choose Princess, and the Island Princess is great.

Stay mid ship

Don't faint upon boarding.

didn't quite understand why the late seating was changed to 7:30 p.m. but it was ok

Make sure you choose assigned seating as the anytime dining is a disaster. Don't bother with the WIFI; it's so slow (worst than dial-up).

Share a table with folks at Bordeaux dining room! You'll meet some fabulous folks!

Do not like the choice of open seating OR assigned time seating. Does not work. Offer one or the other. Nobody should be unexpectedly surprised with no assigned seating time. The one and only night that we had open seating was awful. Yes, it works on Norwegian because they only do that.

Do try to go to the shows, they are fantastic! Go early for a good seat.

I bought the coffee card for $29 + tips ($33) - everyday got large cappicunos, Coffee was free. Really enjoyed that

We were not told that there would be so many elderly people and we prefer cruising with a mixed age group. However if you are elderly or infirm I can see that you receive special service in every way.

We had a great time on the Island Princess, Entertainment was great, food excellent no matter where we ate! Great ports to visit, Aruba, Grand Cayman Costa Rica, Panama and Cartegna! We had the open dining and the only issue we had was we had to wait 30 min 5 times and once an hour.
