Review summary

This 10  day Island Princess cruise was fantastic!, Excellent Food and Service.

Great entertainment. Very relaxing. Took our cruise Jan 24, only one child on board. We like children but not so much we don't have our grand children cruising with us.

One of the best if not best cruise we have taken to date. We have been about 15 to date. Happy Cruising!

The room was ok, shower a little small. But our cabin and bathroom was kept by the best cabin steward on the cruise!

Ship tip

We had a great time on the Island Princess, Entertainment was great, food excellent no matter where we ate! Great ports to visit, Aruba, Grand Cayman Costa Rica, Panama and Cartegna! We had the open dining and the only issue we had was we had to wait 30 min 5 times and once an hour.

Great place to shop for emaralds, do your homework in advance and negotiate!

Panama Canal (Cruise Into Canal)

This is a great place to take an excursion. The Panama Canal is the big draw here. A trip to the old town of Panama and view of Panama City(modern) is a good choice here unless you want to tour the canal in great detail.

Colon, Panama

What can I say paradise found! Banana and Coffee plantations, monkees, sloths and the coastline!

One of the best cruises we have had. We were on the Island Princess for a 14 day Panama Canal cruise in 2013 to celebrate my mom and dad's 65th wedding anniversary. The crew on the Island Princess made the cruise and celebration very special for us all. Always love being on a Princess cruise.

I was so glad to see your report on the Island Princess. We took it through the Panama Canal just before was refurbished. We loved it and had a great time. We have a trip scheduled for this summer and we're excited to see what was done. I believe they removed the universal theater since it wasn't used as much as the Princess Theater. They added more state rooms. I have heard mostly good reports, but the few who were disappointed said it was more crowded in the dining and Princess Theater... I guess that would be due the fact that added state rooms mean more people. That's okay with me. Just more people to meet.😁👏 and I might be forced to use the stairs more.. then I can eat more. it's all good!!

We went the same day to Mexico on the Ruby Princess. We had excellent service. We enjoyed the food but could have used a few more highly seasoned and spicy food. That's just us. We understand that the majority of passengers like a more lightly seasoned bland diet.. I think I will solve the problem by taking a small shaker of cayenne.. lol. We enjoyed the Island Princess on a Panama Canal cruise. We have another cruise planned on the Island to Alaska. We love cruising after many years of backpacking, and RVing. Princess is the best for value and service in our estimation. We also find it usually has the best itineraries for us.
