The on ship ap was great but the Text you could pay for is a great idea. But you have to open the ap to see if you have a message. Hard to use unless the other person has the ap open at the same time.

Do not book the Discover Magens Bay through Royal very rushed at at stop of than the beach stop. Rent.a taxi to go to the beach.

Book shows as soon as you get on the ship. Comedy usually only has a limited amount of space in the Attic.

Consider set dining times, or reserve my time dining as early as you can, to get your first choice. If you have a late departure from a port, see if the aqua show is scheduled. Less likely to be cancelled than if you are in open seas.

Buy the Key Services, well worth the money.

Make sure you become familiar with the general layout of the ship before boarding, this will help you a lot. Also you need the Royal Caribbean app to reserve entertainment once on the ship but it never filled up so no rush.

Be patient with the staff. They work long hours with a smile on their faces! Oh and take the stairs to try to ward off extra pounds haha

Enjoy all the ship has to offer. There is so much it can be overwhelming, but enjoy each day to truly take it all in.

Don’t be overwhelmed with all the food and entertainment options available. Sit back and relax. Don’t try to do everything. That maybe for future cruises.

It is a wonderful ship, if you are traveling with children. If you want an adult cruise, try a different Royal Ship.
MikeG65
Just enjoy all the entertainment. It was all good.

If you’ve never been on an Oasis class ship, take that first day/evening to walk and explore. Get a lay of the land early so you’ll be able to find the things, shows, events easily during the cruise

Make sure if you are vegetarian contact them ahead of time to arrange your food options. If you want an ocean view for dinner in the main dining room request the 1st floor. Also do book entertainment, but don’t stress over it because we sailed at full capacity and getting reservations was not a problem, and the shows that were booked thus we could not reserve, we were able to walk right into with plenty of seats. If parking at the port be prepared to pay before you get to your parking lot.

Book extras ahead of time! BIG ship and lots of people! Things fill up fast.

The better buffet choice for breakfast and lunch is Windjammer, not Solarium of Bites. Don't miss any of the big show productions, they are well worth it. We're still trying to decide if buying The Key for $300 was worth it.

The sports deck aft, the aqua theater, boardwalk, put putt, have a lot of fun things to do but we smelled diesel exhaust 4 of out of the 5 days using those areas.

The Oasis is my favorite ship and Harmony just seems to lack something. And it was definitely overbooked, making elevators and the Windjammer impossible most of the time.

Be cautious of ‘shiptime’ versus the time of day in port. If you book an excursion through an independent provider, you must coordinate carefully or possibly miss your meet-up time

If you can afford it, book the Junior Suite. 6 days at sea without a view of the ocean from your own private space can be claustrophobic.

Download the app to check in, add your credit card for room charges, add your photo and passport info. Doing this will allow you to walk right through after stopping for a couple of minutes to confirm your ID
