Food was as expected on Royal. MDR food was good and if you ordered something that wasn’t your favorite they would happily replace it with another dish.

Main Dining Room

What we’ve come to expect. Great service and enjoyable meals. Always nice to meet your table neighbors I’ve the course of the cruise. Staff was outstanding and bent over backwards to ensure a pleasurable experience every night

Windjammer Marketplace

Pretty much the Windjammer we’ve come to expect. Decent food, plenty of it, table struggles but not insurmountable, just gotta look a bit. Overall good

Coastal Kitchen

Our first time eating in Coastal. Service was outstanding and food was very good. The nice quiet atmosphere was disturbed by some loud guests at the bar, but not really something Royal could help. Just inconsiderate people that detracted from the romance of a night out in a nice setting with my wife.

Onboard Activities

Lots to do. My only complaint would be the scheduling of things around the dinner seatings. Royal should adjust start times a bit so dinner is not such a factor in going to see the shows or participate in activities

I’m rating this low only because it was predominantly dancing with very little “Aqua”. For m, if I’m attending a performance in the Aqua theatre I expect it to be predominantly a water show. These were both dance and trapeze with very little diving etc. entertaining? I suppose, but not my cup of tea.

Center Ice Rink

Skating shows were entertaining and enjoyable

Royal Theater

Both Grease and Columbus were very good, although I personally loved Columbus. A must see imho. Excellent productions and very talented cast.

Service and Staff

Gregorio our room attendant was outstanding. One of the best we’ve ever had. Maria, pool bar waiter was fantastic. Always a great smile and happy to see you back. MDR waiter and assistant were wonderful.

Ship Quality

Plenty to do on this big beautiful ship. If you’re bored it’s your fault

Cabin / Stateroom

First time in a Junior Suite. Love the extra room and walk in closet. It’s gonna be tough to go back lol

Ship tip

If you’ve never been on an Oasis class ship, take that first day/evening to walk and explore. Get a lay of the land early so you’ll be able to find the things, shows, events easily during the cruise

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

Honestly I think this rating is low partially do to our not looking around going in. We didn’t look around much just went to the first beach area we hit. It was very rocky and hard on the feet in the water. Lots of floating trash and debris. Staff was attempting to remove it but it was a never ending battle. One tiny bar that took forever to get a drink at. Food was OK at best. Vendors in the Artisan area were aggressive, and I get it, very poor nation, but you’ve got to really insist to escape. Probably a much better stop for the younger crowd with zip line and coaster etc.

Willemstad, Curacao

Did a RC excursion “Highlights and beach” nice AC bus around the island and the distillery then to Mambo beach for about 2 1/2 hours. Overall nice day

Took a taxi to Eagle beach. Nice Sandy beach but chairs were sold out very quickly so none for us.

Sounds like you had a lot of fun. Glad you enjoyed! I have to agree with you about Labadee though. We had friends that raved about Labadee, but we experienced the rocky beach and persistent vendors, also. Couldn't wait to get back on the ship!
