You Should Have Been There! by BettyB15

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Bermuda

This was my first time cruising with Royal Carribean and they didn't let me down. They had a wonderful buffet set up and ready to go when we got there which was a good thing because we were starving. We checked on our stateroom and were pleasantly surprised to see our luggage was already there! The cabin was completely and thoroughly comfortable. There was plenty of room to put away all of our clothing and we had a nice vanity area with great lighting - thanks! We appreciated having an internet area. Wifi in the cabins would be supurb. The shows were top notch-better than a competitors. We loved the gym - great equipment. The spa was wonderful - I had a terrific pedicure and my husband had a full body massage. We even had fun shopping - lots of choices. The solarium was a delightful surprise for us. The pool deck was really nice with lots of action and dancing lessons and the pool was clean and inviting. My husband was especially happy to see you had a "self-assist" program on the ship. We used the program and got off the ship in no time. We always enjoy the casino and this time was no different. Overall, I'd definitely sail with Royal Carribean again. Thanks for a great time!

Not the newest ship, but still nice by MikeK15

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean

The Grandeur was pretty old, but not bad considering it's 10 years old. Definitely a lot smaller than the mega-ships out there, which was nice because nothing was ever too crowded.

A Fabulous Cruise by DeniseB22

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean

The Grandeau of the Sea is a beautiful ship and I would travel on it again. My last Cruise was with Carnival "Fantasy" and in no way can I compare that ship to the Grandeau, Its elegance and and decor are amazing. The Solarium pool area was such a nice touch.

"Great place to celebrate an anniversary by AnnM15

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

This was our second cruise on Royal Caribbean but our friends had not cruised with this line before. They heard us raving about last winters trip and asked if we would be interested in going. Of course we said "YES". Since we were all celebrating our anniversaries within a week of each other we picked this particular cruise. On one night we celebrated with balloons and streamers in our rooms and a cake at dinner. Our wait staff sang "Happy Anniversary" in a great voice.

A Memorable Cruise Vacation by JoeM8

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Our family of four chose this cruise to celebrate a wedding anniversary, two birthdays, a decision to attend a 1st-choice college, passing the Eagle Scout Board of Review, a promotion at work, and high-honors for the kids in school. So . . . our expectations were high and we weren't disappointed! The Grandeur of the Seas is an elegant, modern ship offering something for everyone, from clean and comfortable staterooms; good meals offering variety, choice and wonderful service in the dining rooms; excellent entertainment; fun excursions; and the opportunity to just chill out in a variety of settings. My personal favorite was in a chaise-lounge, in the shade, on deck 5, with a drink, a good book, and relative peace and quiet. All in all, a very enjoyable vacation!

Easter Grandeur by PaulW18

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Only my second cruise but overall it was excellent. Service from the entire ships personell was fantastic. Sailing during the week after Easter made the cruise more crowded and there were many more children than a usual cruise.

A fair cruise... by HillaryE

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

I am glad I have the opportunity to offer a review on my engagement cruise vacation. My soon to be husband and myself arrived at the airport at 5:45am to check in and board our plane. We were told our flight had been cancelled due to over booking. Of course no one notified us. We were then rebooked onto a plane that left at the same time and had a transfer to a different plane in a different city. Ok... Not a problem... Except when we tried to board the new plane we were told we had no tickets, only boarding passes... So we frantically ran around the airport trying to deal with that. We were almost left at the airport by the plane because of this situation. I was in tears. When we arrived at the airport in S. Carolina to switch planes we were asked if we wanted to come into a private room to be frisked or could they do it out in public. Since our flight had been changed we were apparently red flagged. We were then physically frisked, my things were rummaged through and two lighters of mine were confiscated as they said they were explosive paraphenalia. I guess I should stop smoking! We finally arrived in Tampa where we were taking our cruise from. One problem.... NO LUGGAGE!!! It took us an hour-and-a-half to find it because it was at another terminal... By the time I boarded the ship I was feeling really beat up. The ship itself was average. Not a glamourous ship, food was ok and some of the sevice people lacked necessary skills for their positions. The one thing on the ship that really bothered me was that around the third day of the cruise our cabin bathroom and all the public bathrooms on the ship smelled like raw sewage. Not pleasant! Anyway my honeymoon will be a cruise to the Mediterranian, not booked through and not on Royal Carribian. Hope everyone else has a better experience then we did...

Spring Break --Time for a Cruise by JulieL4

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

I have to admit when booking a Spring Break cruise on the Grandeur of the Seas I was a little worried at first. I imagined the wild behavior and antics of vacationers on break. Sleepless nights with kids running up and down the halls or displays of public drunkeness, however, I should have known my worries were needless while on a Cruise with Royal Caribbean! This was our third "Spring Break Cruise " on RCC and my concerns were unfounded. The ship, her people and even the passengers were fantastic. The ship although a bit older was in fantastic shape. Everywhere you looked you could see the loving care that went into making her the grand dame that she is. Passengers were well behaved and the crew delightful. We reserved a balcony suite and were pleasantly surprised with the spacious cabin and bathroom. Attention to detail by our statroom attendant was understated, as she always knew what we needed even before we did. The crew was friendly, helpful and attentive at all times. The food was very tasty and on many nights more than one entree was ordered. We travel with several families as is our custom for our Spring Break cruises, and have to admit that booking a cruise on a ship that is not the biggest or newest was never a concern with Royal Caribbean. Keep up the good work, and we are sure to set sail again!

A Great Time by Kareno11

Beautiful ship, well maintained. I think that the pool could have been better, it was pretty small and not a lot to do for the kids at the pool. Loved the juggler on the last night, he was great.

My first cruise by Dee3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

In one word: ELEGANT. It was never overcrowded, and I was never uncomfortable...totally relaxing. We had wished it to be a longer cruise. I was apprehensive to go on a cruise, but was talked in to it...and glad I was. I was prepared for the worst - wrist bands, doctor's patches, dramamine, etc, but not once did I need anything. It was a piece of cake. I loved it all. And, I had no fears, nor sickness.

" A Magic Cruise" by BettyD1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Grandeur Of The Seas was all we expected and more! The stateroom was just great! The people on the ship were very friendly and always helpful. The food was always tasteful and the mix of different types was always just right! The casino, activities, and shows were first class " A taste of Vegas". The Port of Tampa was outstanding. We were off the ship and out of the parking garage in 29 minutes! WOW!! ...Sign me up again... Thanks, David

A nice vacation by CathyS10

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

This is a nice clean ship with friendly staff. The dining room staff was excellent and very attentive. They went out of their way to bring our 12 yo son special requests. They remembered our preferences for food and beverage each night. The state room was cleaned each day but we often had to ask for replacement towels and sometimes it was not set up for 3 persons. The food was generally very good. The shows were very entertaining but I wish they had a large review as some other ships do.
