Easter Grandeur

Sail Date: April 17, 2006

Reviewed: 11 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

Only my second cruise but overall it was excellent. Service from the entire ships personell was fantastic. Sailing during the week after Easter made the cruise more crowded and there were many more children than a usual cruise.

Pros: Service and Food

Cons: Casino was crowded and smokey

Ship Quality
Food and Dining
Food from the main dining room was great it must have improved from the expert reviewers cruise. When we ate from the Windjammer buffet it was well stocked and hot. Breakfast was also good.
Cabin / Stateroom
Oceanview stateroom was nice. In room safe wasn't mentioned when we asked but was in the room. Twin beds didn't convert well to Queen sized bed.
Service and Staff
Knowledgeable and more than willing to help. Very polite at all times even when dealing with what we felt were rude/annoying passengers.
Cozumel, Mexico
Again shoping was the prime passenger pastime. Scuba dive was slightly disappointing. Dive master was below average and didn't even do a head count to ensure everyone was back on board.
Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico
Some shops excursions not that exciting.
