A nice vacation

Sail Date: March 20, 2006

Traveled As: Family (young children)

Room Type: Oceanview

This is a nice clean ship with friendly staff. The dining room staff was excellent and very attentive. They went out of their way to bring our 12 yo son special requests. They remembered our preferences for food and beverage each night. The state room was cleaned each day but we often had to ask for replacement towels and sometimes it was not set up for 3 persons. The food was generally very good. The shows were very entertaining but I wish they had a large review as some other ships do.

Pros: excellent dining room service

Cons: Room service

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico
This port was a waste of time. Our snorkeling trip got cancelled at the last minute and we went ashore after being assured that there would be a beach area. The beach areas instead were private and there was no place to swim except for a pool.
Cozumel, Mexico
We took a snorkeling tour but unfortunately the reef had been damaged by the hurricane and was not that impressive. The beach area was right next to a busy highway which is not the setting we had envisioned.
