Very enjoyable cruise to a long-desired destination. We've done the Alaska cruise, a Mediterranean cruise and a Rhine River cruise - enjoyed them all.

Other than the Excursion Staff and one minor glitch with a specialty dinner, we were very happy with the entire cruise. Most relaxing vacation we have taken!!

Loved the experience of cruising the inside passage. Very laid back atmosphere. Food on HAL was better than most. Not much entertainment so I'm not sure the better food options outweigh less to do. Great staff!

Very nice cruise- it was good to return to Alaska.

For my first cruise it was wonderful, however next time I will just fly into the port and explore in my own. I'm not a person who likes to be told when I have to be back

This was a great itinerary with a good balance of sea days and nice ports to visit.

Very relaxing, great food and overall great service, LIDO service staff was very attentive but lacked knowledge about specific locations on the ship when we would ask for directions. Pinnacle restaurant did not meet our expectations for example we showed up an hour early due to the time change and the hostess seemed unable to tactfully and graciously accommodate us only telling us the restaurant was full yet the whole front of the it was empty and we were the only people at the podium. Service at the restaurant was sub par with the server having limited knowledge about the menu or table service finesse. Tamarind restaurant was Excellent with the staff having excellent knowledge of the menu and table service and food was superior kudos to Azani! Spa was awesome always clean and staff very accommodating. Dr Alan Nikolac was very informative answering questions and fun to talk too he is a great asset to your staff. The shopping expert who pushed Diamonds international was not very personable and was rude to us at times he always seemed rushed and bothered when we asked questions after his presentations. When we went to Diamonds International to pick up our advertised tanzanite bracelet we felt strong armed like a bunch of used car salesmen pushing us to buy a 5K bracelet when we just wanted to get the $99 one as a souvenir. The manager an Indian man came over to close us and we told him several times we didn’t want it! He finally pushed the $99 bracelet across the counter and rudely stormed off! Cabin steward was great always happy and helpful, we were in a room 10018 ,

This was a trip of a lifetime for us. We went with 11 others and never felt like we crowded or that we had to do what everyone else was doing.

This was our first cruise and we had a great time! Very easy travel.

It was fun and I want to do it again another year.

Took a tour in every port, all booked with Holland America. Hard to say any one better than the other, all fantastic yet different Probably the best was the helicopter flyover of the lava flows, but sadly, all the activity had passed and we did not even see steam. If you are afraid of a long sea voyage, do not worry. we had flt seas both ways. It was late Nov. We did a transatlantic in Oct, the North Sea. Flat all the way, For the most part the captains can sail away from storms. One very, very good thing. -- Both Holland America and Princess have ditched CNN in favor of Fox News, so no putting up with 24 hrs on non stop HATE!!!

I typically cruise the east coast, this is my first west coast cruise, and first Holland America ship. Dinning area and buffet were quiet bland. Fruit was never ripe or just poor in quality. Pinnacle restaurant was very good. Burger lounge was good, but the confined hours were ridiculous. Production Shows were poor compared to cheaper and shorter 3-5 day cruises. Cocktails in the Gallery Bar, Tamerind, Billboards, BB Kings, were straight insulting to be considered cocktails. Your bartenders do not follow recipe guidelines, nor do they have the bitters/shrubs, or the top shelf spirits required to make the cocktails you advertise. (seriously a 3 day carnival ship to the bahamas offers a legitimate certified mixologist on board. Bar name Alchemy.) You're located in the prohibition epicenter of our nation near San Francisco and LA, what gives... You clearly do not give a rats ass about your bars, I'm certain their pay is no different than your service room clerks. The port on-boarding secuirty staff from cabo, mazatlan, and puerto vallarta have zero personality / hospitality are straight aggressive in their process and it was disheartening each time we had to go back to the ship. The room service and food buffet staff were polite and whats to be expected but I must say they go out of their way and it was appreciated. This ship was a waste of our time, and out money, I will personally be quite the advocate against this cruise line... In short, this is transportation only, like a spirit airlines. But your better off flying.

Really friendly and fun crew. Guest relations needs help. Couldn't answer questions.

I would give this cruise a 80 % rating out of 100 if it wasn't for all the selling of diamonds on board and at ports it would be much better. also you can not hear announcements of activities in your room only in the hallway and public areas. Don't get exited to win at the casino very very very tight

To the embarkation herd control personnel, our greeting by Myrby and Sarah in the Neptune lounge our greeting from Argo, and the entire staff in the dining area. KUDOS! The only thing that could have made our crew staff any better was to just have a longer cruise. Holland has made excellent decisions in their staffung positions! My only complaint, and I really dont want it to be a complaint as it was just the least favorite part of the trip was the main dining. The food was mediocre at best but the customer service was superb! Good job Denny as our server there! The Entertainers, WOW! professionals for sure! The casino was a great place to have a few hours of good entertainment because the staff was fantastic once again. This has been my only real cruise outside of the USN and your staff made it grand!

This was our first cruise and we can't wait to go again. I never thought I would like a cruise, I sure was wrong!!

Overall great cruise. older crowd and not your party cruise atmosphere. Nice focus on good service, food, and entertainment. All service was exceptional.

The ports were overall nice. ATV excursion on Grand Turk was disappointing. The cabin was basic, but the TV is larger then normal cruise ships, great feature. The onboard activities were not great.

On our first day, we took a tour of the spa, and since I had last been on the Eurodam, they built a new spa pool. Huge. Awesome. My sister and I signed up as a couple and used it EVERY DAY and sometimes twice a day. 

Jeremy, the Naturalist on board, was great.

The show with the orchestra playing over BBC programs was so terrific the audience was in awe. If there would have been a DVD of that show, I would have bought it in a heartbeat to take home to my husband.

The captain was terrific. When we got to the glacier in Glacier Bay National Park, he rotated the ship like it was on a dime and stayed there for over an hour. We watched the glacier calving several times.

And when he did his talk on the main stage, he was not only informative but very entertaining.

The food was great.

Everything was great.

IF I ever sail on this ship again, or one like it, I will DEFINITELY get the spa package. I can't say enough how wonderful that was.
