Review summary

Very nice cruise- it was good to return to Alaska.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We used Verifly and were on the ship within 15 minutes. Very organized at the Seattle port.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food was great— especially at Tamarind. Unfortunately lobster was not offered on gala night.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We did not use the pool in this trip. I did get a day pass to the spa and it was very enjoyable.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
We typically enjoy the BB King Blues band. However on this cruise they only played two shows per night, not three. And they were the later shows, so it felt like there was a gap after dinner without entertainment unless we went to the MainStage. Several members of the band were missing for unknown reasons. When they played they sounded good. We also enjoyed Billboard Onboard.

Sitka, Alaska

Fortress of the Bear is a bear sanctuary and well worth a visit.

Juneau, Alaska

5 out of 5
Fun port; Tracy’s for crab, Alaskan Brewery via Uber and the whale watching in the evening.

Icy Strait Point (Hoonah), Alaska

4 out of 5
This port is owned by the local indigenous people. They have a few gondolas to ride and shopping, but otherwise it is isolated.

Ketchikan, Alaska

4 out of 5
Good port, but poor hours. We were there from 7am-11:30am.

Cruise Glacier Bay

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We were off the ship and into a cab headed for the airport within 15 minutes.
