Magical Med by RevP

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Disney Magic / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

Superior cleanliness. Lots of fun stuff on board. The Cinque Terre shore excursion was spectacular. Disney service remains superb with minimal error or confusion on details. They know how to handle crowds and do a terrific job of moving people through the ship for their shore excursions. Master planners!

Not Too Old for Mickey by AlanS1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Disney Magic / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

Although we were 60-year-old honeymooners, we enjoyed this 11-day cruise. Lots of Mickey and Donald and emphasis on families with kids, but we knew this going in. We got a LOT of value for our special rate of 999. per person, including cabin upgrade.

Great Cruise! Even greater cruise line! by CamilleB

Wonderful ship. Not too big, great facilities. Great entertainment and staff. Great staterooms. The adult pool could use more seating and some sprucing up.

Fabuloust time by DebbieB10

The ship was in excellent condition. We were concerned that some areas would look a little worn due to its age, but everything was maintained beautifully.

Exceptional Cruise by ShandraW

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Disney Magic / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

This was our first cruise (7 day Eastern Caribbean). I am glad we chose Disney, as I believe we will sail with them exclusively. The menu's were superb. I loved the days at sea. The shows were superb. My 13 year old son did not want to leave. Everything was coordinated well and even though I was sailing with alone with my son, I did not feel out of place. For dining, we were seated with three other mothers traveling with their sons (age 14, 16 and 6) as well. It just showed how attentive the Disney Cruise staff were. The only thing I would change on my next cruise it to get a private balcony.

Love Disney! by Kimsuz

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Magic / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Disney is an excellent cruise line. The expense is worth it if your kids enjoy the playcare. Luckily, my children did. Cruises Only was happy to give me all the service I needed UNTIL I gave them my money. Then if I had a question, Noemi, my travel agent never called back and I waited on hold over 20 minutes on the general customer service line. I also was shorted $100 in onboard credits that they had promised.

Disney Magic by GlendaS2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Magic / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The "Disney Magic" was indeed magical!! There was a wide-spread age group onboard(even travelers without children). Activities and organization of all aspects were excellent. The staff was very attentive & responsive to any want or need. Entertainment was first-class from the hugh out-door TV screen by the pool to the stage presentations, and the just released 3-D movies on board. It was great going to the 3 dining rooms (with different settings) and not going to the same one for each dinner. Food was excellent and well prepared and presented. I would highly recommend this cruise. Our party was son & daughter-in-law, an almost 4 year old and a 1 year old, and 2 grandmothers.

Our Disney 7 night cruise to the Western by Fanatix

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Magic / Destination: Caribbean - Western

A Truly Magical Trip Our Disney 7 night cruise to the Western Caribbean was truly magical for my family. We are so glad we went! This is my third cruise, and my first with Disney. Previous experience was Carnival and Royal Caribbean (RC). In short, we had the BEST TIME on Disney! It was just the 3 of us - myself, my husband and my 4 year old daughter. The things that we really loved about the CRUISE were: 1. Non-smoking mostly everywhere - very few people smoked. Compared with RC Voyager, where smoke seemed to be everywhere! This was a HUGE deal to me. 2. Stateroom Cat 9 was a good size and lots of closet space and 1.5 baths was awesome! Having a tub to bathe my daughter in makes life for a parent so much easier. 3. Disney characters around every day! Rather than standing outside in the hot sun at Disneyworld, we were able to get lots of pics and autographs onboard - mostly on level 3. Lines were much shorter and it made for a much nicer experience. 4. Dining server (Grace from Jamaica) was so friendly and very knowledgeable. She gave us wonderful service and she really made my daughter feel special. Aleksander, the assistant server was also very gracious. And, the head waiter - Alessandro always checked up on us to ensure we were doing alright. 5. Castaway Cay was GORGEOUS and, like many people, this was our favorite port. 6. Disney's organization of EVERYTHING ONBOARD was fantastic. They make it look so easy. When it's that easy, you know a lot of thought has been put into the details. 7. Oceaneer Club was GREAT! My daughter loved going there - they take great care of the kids. We dropped her off many times, sometimes for dinner even. It was nice for me and my husband to have some time on our own. 8. I loved that Disney organized a 5K run on Castaway Cay. Yes, there were only 3 of us running that morning, but Matt from the Disney Entertainment group was wonderful as he took us around the island for the run. Later, I found a certificate slid under my stateroom door, showing i had ran it - a nice touch. 9. The production shows on Disney are fantastic for families. We always arrived about 30 minutes and were generally the first in line - and had our pick of seats. I personally preferred these shows over the old timey RC entertainment. 10. I called Disney before our vacation and asked if they had DVDs in the room. They told me to fax a request in, and I did. They then set me up with a DVD in my room at no charge. Wow, talking about service! 11. Disney offers great channels on TV. Though we spent little time in our room, when we did turn it on, it was nice to get some good variety of shows, including some live news. 12. Room service is quick - 25 minutes max - we used it once for my daughter, and were quite pleased, though we definitely prefer to go to the dining room for a decent variety. 13. Palos was WONDERFUL. Our server, Igor, was so attentive. We went only once, but we were very impressed with the food and the service. 13. Captain Tom ordered the perfect weather each and every day! From the high 80's to the low 90's...we were very happy cruisers! 14. The tendering situation in Grand Cayman is so easy. When we went there last year via RC, I sent my husband to get tickets the nite before and there was a mob of people waiting in no particular line. He hated that experience. Disney makes you go to a theater after your breakfast (with all your stuff and family) and they lead you in an orderly fashion outside to the tender boat. I got there at 730am and was off the ship by 8am - and I had much time to spare before embarking on a tour (not with Disney). 15. Debarkation at Port Canaveral is A BREEZE!

Great time by MD39898592

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Disney Magic / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

While I was on this cruise primarily visiting with family, there were some terrific offerings for adults and children, tremendously helpful and friendly staff and great food. Everything on the ship is convenient and the live shows and character appearances are magical and there are many opportunities to see them. The programming staff did a great job providing adult entertainment for the evenings as well. My only advice would be to budget for excursions off of the ship, on the Eastern tour in St. Maarten and St. Thomas you will need the pay for a cab to the beaches and usually separate activities like parasailing or snorkeling are separate as well. Visiting the Disney island, Castaway Cay is terrific as well.

A+ Quality by AT56

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Magic / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The staff would go out of the way to assist you. Always greeting us and very energetic. The ship is beautful. When docked next to other cruiseliners you really get an appreciation of how clean and well maintained the ship is. The Navigator daily guide made things very easy to pick and choose your daily activities. The food was great and abundant. I would rank the food better than any mass food preparpation I have ever had. For example a sales conference serving thousands at a hotel, the food usually tastes bland. The Disney food was not in this category at all. Much better! The entertainment is Broadway quality. The day-care reps were very attentive and great with kids. Not once did we worry at all! Espcially with a pager and text messenges if they need to reach us.

A great cruise for all ages by RainaS

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Magic / Destination: Mexico

I recently sailed on Disney Magic as an adult without kids who sailed along with a friend that had two boys (ages 7 and 11). The food was great but I which the seating was more flexible. The brunch was the absolute best. I thought the shows were better than any on any other cruise I had been on. I didn't take advantage of any of the ports. The rooms were really big. The kids loved the kids clubs and the pools. The service was also very good. Overall, the ship was very claen.
