Take Five is a nice quiet place to relax during the day, and it’s also a great way to bypass walking through the smoky casino on Deck 6.

while trying to set everything up before the trip - using Medallion app, was disappointed that we could not pick timeby dining choices were not avalaible

Don't...unless they fix their mobile app!

Do not waste money on a useless balcony.

1. Book a suite with a balcony- Worth every penny! 2. Get the Medallion watch so easy to keep up with than the lanyard. 3. Buy luggage tags from Amazon to hold the tags to take your bags to the room- hold up way better than stapling the tags. 4. Buy heavy duty magnets from Amazon ahead of time to hand on back of door - great to hang extra clothes on.

Bring a reusable cup with a lid/straw and fill it in the buffet. Oh! And if you are in your cabin and want to listen to the announcements from the bridge, it's on your TV. Go to LIVE TV, find the bridge cam, and turn the volume up. This is super handy for when you are cruising through Endicott Arm and going to see the glacier since the resident Alaska expert is giving your pointers on what you are seeing, history of the area, and little stories about Alaska.

Get a balcony room, carry your own luggage at debarment. Much quicker!

You will not see a glacier from the ship, it is too big to go to the glacier. You must take the boat excursion to see them, which is expensive and limited. Do not book Discovery if you want to go to the glacier on the ship.

They claim to go into Dawes Glacier and they don't - very disappointing. Excursions book up way too fast, had to use kiosks on dock and arrange our own. Crowded spaces.

The WiFi and medallion app doesn’t work for the majority of the trip

Worth it

Read reviews for all excursions. Overall a great cruise!

Your “medallion app” won’t work do don’t get your hopes up

Be patient when you're in line. It will feel like its taking a while, but once on board, your vacation starts.

Be ready for long lines and long waiting time embarking and disembarking.
