Review summary

I contract covid and felt the effect on the last day of our trip (July1). I could have contracted it on Thursday if not Friday. We were mask all the time except when eating and drinking and try to avoid getting near other people. Can somebody tell the cruise director why movies were always shown in the open deck where it was very cold and windy. There were probably only 15-20 people in the jacuzzi. Instead, they should have movies every day at the indoor theater and instead of the cruise director always having his boring show.

Embarkation

2 out of 5
We waited for more two hours for the bus to take us from Seattle airport to the ship. The whole place where we waited is a mess. The guy barking on who are to take an incoming bus is pitiful as he had to shout to be heard in an open huge area full of talking people.

Ship experiences

Onboard Activities

Movie in the pool deck but had to wear layers and layers of jacket (very cold and windy)

Entertainment

1 out of 5
The performer "Drop" was a low rated group. The female lead singer was trying so hard to act while singing and the male lead singer was basically shouting the lyrics, not singing.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
State room stewards were amazing.

Ship Quality

Cabin / Stateroom

Room was very clean and size of the room is just about right.

Ship tip

More proof that masks don't work in enclosed spaces.

Thanks for the review. I know Skagway had a very dangerous rock slide area right where the ships dock. They will have to rethink that port.

I recommend that you use an Uber or taxi from the airport to the ship in Seattle. It was very disorganized. Had to haul our luggage from baggage claim to an outside area which took about 2o- 30 Minutes to get to bus area. Then waited another 30 Minutes. However on the return to airport using the Princess transfers was very easy. I also recommend getting into Seattle early so you can get to the ship by 11:30-12:30 for first group boarding. People thst came in on later flights took a lot longer to get on board.

What does a bus to shuttle you from the airport to the cruise port has to do with embarkation

The port at Skagway needs some changes, due to a possible catastrophic rockslide.
