Celebrity Edge overview

By Cruiseline.com - Updated Mar. 6, 2020

Designed to attract non-cruisers, Celebrity Edge is as much a boutique hotel as a cruise ship. Launched in December 2018, this next-generation ship takes the brand's modern luxury concept to new heights. Edge features contributions from internationally recognized architects, designers, performers, and chefs. The result is a multisensory floating city that's completely unique. Thanks to a technologically-advanced terminal in Fort Lauderdale's Port Everglades, the Edge experience begins even before you board.

After dropping your bags in your cabin, kick off your vacation with a visit to the Solarium, a few laps in the pool, or an icy cocktail from the Martini Bar before taking the time to explore the ship from bow to stern. Each deck is packed with features that will surprise and delight. See Marcus Terell of America's Got Talent live in concert or an award-winning performance in the theater. Choose from the colorful pop revue Kaleidoscope, the gaming-inspired Land of Khalida, or A Hot Summer Night's Dream, a new take on the Shakespeare classic. Designed by the legendary architect Tom Wright, The Rooftop Garden is the place to enjoy popup performances, outdoor movies, handcrafted cocktails, or a leisurely stroll around the sculpture park.

Enjoy a drink or meal high above the ocean on the Magic Carpet, or meander through Eden, a three-story lounge with an ever-changing ambiance. Even the pool and Solarium transform with dramatic after-dark lighting. Relax in one of the spa’s specialty saunas, try a smoothie from the juice bar, or sample all eight therapies in the SEA Thermal Suite. Each element of Celebrity Edge, from the restaurants to the cabins and entertainment, is completely unique.

Celebrity Edge itineraries include 7- to 14-night Caribbean, Mediterranean, and transatlantic cruises. In the winter, Edge stops in Aruba, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands. In summer, cruises visit historic ports in Croatia, Greece, Morocco, Spain, and France. Celebrity Edge sails transatlantic routes between Fort Lauderdale and Rome or Southampton in the spring and fall.

Awesome Alaska! by Robbie500

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Edge

We totally enjoyed this cruise! The ship is beautiful and new. The staff was welcoming and most we talked to had years of experience with Celebrity. Our cabin steward has over ten years with Celebrity! The infinite veranda is a great way to see Alaska! Do not try to do this trip on the cheap! We did as much as we could financially afford as this was possibly a once in a lifetime trip for us. Get out and meet the locals. Take time to chat with your crew! Your trip is about the experience. Get out there!!!

It was my wife's dream to visit Alaska and our first cruise. Her dream came true and I've got a feeling that we will be cruising again.

Didn't find many activities that interested us on board. And too much time just at sea--almost three days.
