Celebrity Eclipse overview

Celebrity Eclipse
Celebrity Eclipse is third ship in the Celebrity Cruises innovative Solstice Class and is scheduled for big upgrades in 2020.

Celebrity Eclipse launched in 2010 and is a breath of fresh sea air for couples seeking a sophisticated cruise experience. Thanks to its adults-only Solarium, superb restaurants, and many quiet nooks, this unique ship is the perfect setting for a romantic getaway.

With room for 2,850 passengers, This Celebrity Cruises ship is one of the largest members of Celebrity's fleet, yet it handily retains the charm of the brand's midsize flagships while adding even more activities, amenities, and entertainment. The ship features 10 restaurants, including five specialty venues, a well-stocked buffet, and a top-rated main dining room.

During the day, the action centers around the Lawn Club, Lido Deck, main pool, and the three youth activity centers. In the evening, the Promenade is the place to be. The ship's unique design links the Moonlight Sonata dining room to the Eclipse Theater using a network of bars and public spaces. Stop by The Martini Bar & Crush, or Fortunes Casino on your way to the stage for a night of live music, stand-up comedy, and world-class entertainment.

The best part? Celebrity Eclipse is receiving Revolution upgrades in April 2020 as part of Celebrity's aggressive brand-wide campaign to maintain its cutting-edge position in the industry. Refurbishment plans will focus on improving its already top-performing venues. Expect redesigned public spaces, an expanded SEA Thermal Suite, and new duty-free shopping outlets featuring boutique brands like Shinola.

Celebrity Eclipse itineraries and departure ports

Celebrity Eclipse cruises cover most of the globe from the tropics to the frosty shores of Antarctica and the Arctic. The ship's Alaskan cruise season starts in May with 5- to 7-night cruises that run through September. In the fall, Eclipse heads to Hawaii via Vancouver or LA before slipping below the equator and rambling along the coast of Chile, Argentina, and the wild lands of Patagonia. Starting in late 2020, Eclipse will offer 12-night cruises that explore Australia, New Zealand, and the Great Barrier Reef.

Enjoyed the cruise but I wish they had stopped a more places. by hermanlorenz

Service is much improved from the last couple years. Overall management seems pretty grim. They all need training at Chick-fil-A or some other good service organization. Smiling and offering to help goes a long way. "Our policy" is not a good answer to anything. Why is it your policy? An additional charge for internet service "because the service that you bought won't work" isn't encouraging. When the additional service you buy still doesn't work "because there aren't many satellites in this are" is even worse. The ship is going back and forth on the same route; don't they know what works?

An Incredible Trip to the End of the World! by Brad

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Celebrity Eclipse

What an experience! This was our first Celebrity cruise having been on two other cruises through competitors. We chose this cruise because of the reviews and the very interesting itinerary offered. I had concerns about sea sickness due to the choppy seas in this region but we did okay with a patch! I'm so glad we did this trip!

WE STAYED ON THE 7TH DECK FORWARD AND IT WAS GREAT. THEATRE, POOL, SHOPPING, CASINO AND MOST VENUES WITHIN A FEW MINUTES WALK. THE STARBOARD SIDE WAS NICE.

Try to get to lectures and theatre shows ON TIME; people wandering in and out are very distracting for performer and audience
