Caribbean cruise by shiraba

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

It was ok. I have been on better but also Not the worst. The staff work extremely Hard and they should all get a raise. Haha! Truly I couldn't imagine. Overall the ship is so So wish more activities like a cooking class or a dance class but otherwise if you only be bingo it's the cruise for you.

Absolutely Wonderful! by Pooky1964

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

We all loved this vacation and it was definitely because of the beautiful ship and the amazing staff and crew. We were spoiled, relaxed and fed like royalty and it was fun. We got to know our crew and will always hold them in our hearts. We are already planning to return for this exact cruise because we loved it so much and this was our 8th cruise since 2001.

Good trip! by Paluptak

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

I loved leaving from a port I could drive to. No hassle of flying enhances the value of the cruise. Freeport was a disappointment! Loved the 21 and over area and that Carnival enforced no kids however it needs to be bigger or you need to enforce your own rules about people saving chairs and loungers with towels and not occupying them for hours at a time. The rules said towels would be removed after 40 minutes and no one ever enforced that.

Best Cruise Ever by citruscoach

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

We went for just a couples cruise. It was perfect for this! With 3 sea days it's a very relaxing cruise. Grand Turk and Half Moon Cay are perfect for relaxing too. Freeport is not one of our preferred stops so we just stayed on the ship that day. Hoping to do this exact same cruise next summer!

We just finished a 7-day... by bethgee

Sail date: /
Ship: Carnival Pride

We just finished a 7-day cruise on the Pride, Eastern Caribbean itinerary. What an experience! We thoroughly enjoyed the variety of activities and food and drink on board. The Grand Turk and Half Moon Cay destinations were breathtaking with clear, turquoise-blue waters. Freeport was okay; due to limited time in port, we shopped and grabbed drinks at Señor Frogs. 99% of staff exceeded our expectations. On Tuesday, we hit rough seas and I got seasick. Room service brought me crackers and the young lady who delivered them suggested green apples for nausea. Ten minutes later, the same young lady returned to my cabin with green apples. She said that her supervisor wasn't feeling well and had requested them so she simply picked up a couple extras for me. Wow, what a thoughtful crew member! I wish that I could remember her name. We'd also like to recognize Randy, Iwayan, and Ipupu who were our servers in the Normandie restaurant. They worked so well as a team and their attentiveness was outstanding. Most of our evenings were spent at the Red Frog Pub. Our bartenders, Eric and Romillo, were personable yet efficient. The Seabirds band played a nice variety of songs and our group often found ourselves singing along. Finally, our cabin steward, Johannes, was simply the best. Our cabin was sparkling everyday and we loved the towel animals. The only negative was overhearing a bartender at the Red Frog Rum Bar complain to a fellow bartender that this "is the worst ship I've been on." I'm not sure if she was just having a bad day or had encountered a grumpy guest or two. We had a great time and would definitely recommend the Pride! In fact, we are already looking into itineraries for next year. #carnivalpride

Great Summer Family vacation by mrlndr

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

We have cruised on the Carnival Pride 8 times and love the size of the ship and it's crew. My only complaint is that I wish they would change the ports since we have seen these so often. They need to add new ports.

This was our first cruise.... by sewsew6

Sail date: /
Ship: Carnival Pride

This was our first cruise. We had a great time! Saffie was our cruise director. The other crew members were just as upbeat. I don't know how they do it. The entire 7 days were filled with fun and activities. The food was delicious! I plan to go again.

Love Bermuda-Pride Needs Updating by cruisinisfun

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Bermuda

Visit Bermuda but stay off the Pride until they refurb it. It's a lot of money for old and in need of work. Be sure to check out Horseshoe Bay, Hamilton-the Pickled Onion is nice and St Georges.

Question. Has anyone played the new "Clue at Sea" on the Pride? She is supposed to have it and am wondering if my kids will enjoy it. Thanks in advance.

Our first cruise, we relaxed and enjoyed the time we were away. We didn't get hung up on the things that went wrong. Just took it in stride. Things can happen,  Make the best of a situation.

The staff was awesome! ... by dfamily4

Sail date: /
Ship: Carnival Pride

The staff was awesome! The food was at least 3-4 stars for most of the nights. Prime rib, flat iron steak, shrimp cocktail, caprese salad. The ship is an older looking ship with a weird motif. Mermaids throughout the ship, strange artwork on the walls of the passageways, Taj Mahal theater and a butterfly lounge. The shows were pretty good. The down sides were that the dress code is not enforced in the main dining or on the lido. Main dining even on "formal" nights had several people in sagging torn jeans, decaled tshirts and a backwards baseball hat. There were several girls that showed up in shorts with their cheeks hanging out. Additionally, there wasn't a lot of entertainment for kids or teens after 9pm. The clubs were open, but not very inviting. The teen clubs were a free for all and they pretty much had to entertain themselves. The traffic flow into the port was horrendous. Very chaotic. I will cruise with Carnival for many years to come, but not on the pride, and never again out of Baltimore.
