Review summary

We went for just a couples cruise. It was perfect for this! With 3 sea days it's a very relaxing cruise. Grand Turk and Half Moon Cay are perfect for relaxing too. Freeport is not one of our preferred stops so we just stayed on the ship that day. Hoping to do this exact same cruise next summer!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
The Baltimore port was very easy. Once inside the main building, it was covered and air conditioned all the way thru check in to the ship. It's a little slow due to limited metal detectors, but still wasn't too bad.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food in dining room was consistently good.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Didn't do many of the activities but every day was loaded with things to do.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We had seen most of these shows earlier this year on another Carnival cruise. But the entertainers on this ship were so much better, it completely changed the atmosphere of the show!

Service and Staff

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
One of the best ship designs we've been on. It was very easy to get from one end of ship to other on all but 3 floors.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Excellent size but obstructed view. Window was completely blocked by life boat.

Ports of call

Baltimore, Maryland Did not visit port

Grand Turk Island

5 out of 5
One of our favorites. Lots of seating either by the pool or on the beach.

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)

5 out of 5
Beautiful island. It's a shame you have to tender here. If you're not one of the first on the beach, you will not get a clam shell cover for your chair.

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island Did not visit port

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
For this port, you don't even arrive until 8 or 8:30. Then, Carnival makes you leave your rooms by 9 and wait in designated spots on the ship. These get very crowded with luggage. It's just a much slower process than other ports.
