Review summary

We just finished a 7-day cruise on the Pride, Eastern Caribbean itinerary. What an experience! We thoroughly enjoyed the variety of activities and food and drink on board. The Grand Turk and Half Moon Cay destinations were breathtaking with clear, turquoise-blue waters. Freeport was okay; due to limited time in port, we shopped and grabbed drinks at Señor Frogs. 99% of staff exceeded our expectations. On Tuesday, we hit rough seas and I got seasick. Room service brought me crackers and the young lady who delivered them suggested green apples for nausea. Ten minutes later, the same young lady returned to my cabin with green apples. She said that her supervisor wasn't feeling well and had requested them so she simply picked up a couple extras for me. Wow, what a thoughtful crew member! I wish that I could remember her name. We'd also like to recognize Randy, Iwayan, and Ipupu who were our servers in the Normandie restaurant. They worked so well as a team and their attentiveness was outstanding. Most of our evenings were spent at the Red Frog Pub. Our bartenders, Eric and Romillo, were personable yet efficient. The Seabirds band played a nice variety of songs and our group often found ourselves singing along. Finally, our cabin steward, Johannes, was simply the best. Our cabin was sparkling everyday and we loved the towel animals. The only negative was overhearing a bartender at the Red Frog Rum Bar complain to a fellow bartender that this "is the worst ship I've been on." I'm not sure if she was just having a bad day or had encountered a grumpy guest or two. We had a great time and would definitely recommend the Pride! In fact, we are already looking into itineraries for next year. #carnivalpride
