I prefer a stateroom with balcony to be able to enjoy being at sea away from the crowds.

This is probably a great trip for a family that likes to eat & drink, gamble and safe to let kids roam free ! And oh yes did I say eat ? High carb , fatty, sugar filled, food.....!

The public areas of the ship were cold, especially the Phantom theater.

Doesn't matter if you have a lower cabin without windows. For the amount of time a person actually spends in there room, simple is best!

The interior appointments were a reminder of Las Vegas-style glitz. Select a stateroom lower and near the center of the ship as fore and aft tend to be a more lively ride for those motion-sensitive people. The shudder of the screws is more pronounced on all ships aft and low.

The balcony room is great for up to a family of 3 or less. I roomed that larger families, or families with teens, get an additional room or an ocean suite to accommodate. The room was often cramped with all of us, but the staff made it possible for us to coexist by cleaning and waiting on our needs.

Standing inline waiting for the shuttle back to LAX the general consciences of the people standing there was that the ship has a sickness in it and they don't know how to clean the ship where the people were. Wiping the tables with a dry towel from table to table with all the sick people wasn't good

Be prepared...if you choose "Anytime" dining, there will be times you will have to wait for a table. That caught us off-guard.

We always get a balcony when traveling in a warm climate. It is worth the extra you pay to be able to sit outside in warm weather, and it seems to make the room a little larger
