I was on the magic back in 2016 and then now in 2023. It definitely had its issues both time. But the cruise director was terrible. Seemed like he didn't know what he was doing....

It is hard not to enjoy a cruise escape and I did. Disappointed in Carnival reduced quality of food.

Had a great Magic cruise! Only disappointed because celebrating my birthday and no recognition as promised my sale agent. She only said that I had a suite but I was in a stateroom. This was a birthday cruise for my siblings also. I would definitely take another cruise if not to Half Moon Bay!

Overall loved the ports would do this itinerary again. Not sure I would go on Magic again, Service in dining room and food was so disappointing it has tainted my view of the ship.

The ship is old which made for long buffet lines. The breakfast line always had 30 to 40 people waiting. Food was cold for breakfast. NEVER AGAIN ON THE MAGIC!

Excellent vacation. We can’t wait to do it again. Definitely hooked on cruising!

Our cruise was great. We were able to relax and have fun. The piano bar with Ben was the hilite of our cruise . He was great entertainment. We have no complaints.

Overall I had an amazing cruise. My one and only complaint is regarding the elevators. The doors close too quickly and many times missed the elevator. I am handicapped using a scooter. During disembarkation you might want to have a service elevator for handicap travelers

The service with everything was very good. The dining rooms, the room stewards.

We love Carnival. This was a perfect trip for my family.

This cruise was a long time in coming (due to Covid rescheduling) but it was worth the wait! Highly recommend the Southern Caribbean itinerary. We felt the Magic was the perfect ship for this cruise.

First cruise in 15 years. I am now looking at other cruises because we had a good time. Some disappointments but overall a good time for two old people.

I remember previous Carnival cruise very different. Coffee, tea, juice, and ice cream were only available on the Lido deck maybe 6 machines between 3000 people you can imagine lines. Swimming suits were not allowed but permitted to be served in line.

It was OK. Not like it used to be at all. Food was not that great. The buffet food was cold at all times. The omelette and eggs were the only thing that you could get hot. Pancakes and French toast were always cold. Toast and bagels or very very cold not even edible. Pastries were all beautiful, but no flavor. They were not a sweet pastry at all.

In fairness to Carnival, it's not propped up as a high end experience. In my opinion, it's a good line to start with or if you just don't have a very high cruising budget. It could also appeal to the drinking and partying crowd, as they do try to make things fun throughout the ship. Pros: Embarkation and Debarkation were one of the best we've experienced. Other cruise lines could take a lesson from the Carnival Magic. Guy's burgers are the best at sea. The deserts, in particular the cakes were very good and higher quality than some other lines we've been on. You must try the melting chocolate cake. Our Cabin Steward, John was so helpful and nice. He seemed very genuine and friendly. We loved him. The atrium entertainment went throughout the day and evening and was generally very good for that type of venue. Great violinists and female singer. Cons: Overall the food was poor. The buffet is the worst we've ever experienced. MUCH smaller than lines like NCL. And it had limited hours so you had to plan where to eat more than I like. Service in the main dining room was overall good but one night I had the worst service ever with a waiter who simply wouldn't honor any simple requests like asking for bread or a second dessert. Their staff, like most lines, is spread too thin in the dining rooms and its all they can do to keep up. And you feel it. Entertainment was mediocre and they used the same entertainers to do most of the shows. That puts a lot of stress on them to know all the choreography and routines. Most of them couldn't sing or dance all that well with the exception of a couple. The cruise cabin had not apparently been updated as the carpet was worn and dirty looking in a few places. There was chipped off trim in places too but was overall clean.

The entertainment on this cruise was past amazing! We had so much fun at the Lido deck parties and comedy shows! Bingo host Lupy was super awesome as well. In my opinion the evening food for the better part of the week left much to be desired. By day 3 I found myself incredibly exhausted because it was impossible to sleep with the vibrations of the bass coming through my room from whatever music was under us. Had I had prior warning I would have paid more for a different, more peaceful and relaxing space! My last 2 days were almost impossible to get through and I was ready to be home from lack of sleep.

First time cruising in awhile. Had a good time with friends. Was much need relax and fun. Can't wait to go again

Overall a great vacation as always with Carnival. Ship was fun, experience was fun, and the ports were amazing. Already booked our next Carnival cruise and can't wait to go on it this year.
