It was OK. Not like it used to be at all. Food was not that great. The buffet food was cold at all times.
The omelette and eggs were the only thing that you could get hot.
Pancakes and French toast were always cold. Toast and bagels or very very cold not even edible.
Pastries were all beautiful, but no flavor. They were not a sweet pastry at all.

I cannot say enough good things about that man! He absolutely made my trip! I stopped him, shook his hand, and introduced myself & told him how awesome he was. I told him he was just incredible!! I never miss an event that he was hosting.

Beds are a bit too narrow but comfortable. Room size was manageable. Any smaller and it would not be.
Excursion was cancelled but I didn’t know that because I did not check my email the week before. It was too late to book anything everything was filled. When we arrived we took a cab out to the lighthouse and that was a waste of money. There was nothing to do there we went in and out of some of the shops.
We did and three hour bus trip all over the island. It was nice to see the area, but three hours was way too long! We weren’t told to bring a snack and it started out 10 o’clock. We didn’t get back till around 1:20 PM. It was just too long of a drawn out affair. I would never do that again.

What to Margaritaville for lunch, then went to sit on the beach. After that, I enjoyed a couple of hours at the pool and did some shopping.
Appreciate your detailed feedback. Sorry this cruise didn’t quite meet your standards. Cruising still hasn’t recovered from the shutdown and may never return the prior Covid level.
Sadly, the food issues I have been reading about are not just on this ship. A lot of cruise lines are trying to cut corners to stay afloat. The thing is, a lot of people cruising remember how it was before covid and a lot do not like the changes being made. Thanks for your review.
This review is making me rethink my Sept cruise. We'll be on the Magic leaving out of Norfolk for Bermuda. Hopefully, it will be better by the time we board. Especially the food because that's part of the reason we travel.
It is not good that food is cold because people could get sick from that. Also the bagels has to be toasted very well for it not to be cold and they do have a toaster I'm sure I've been on this Carnival sunshine. Things have changed since covid and it's very sad. I'm glad that you had a wonderful Cruise director and you introduced yourself. We had a great Cruise director on the Carnival Sunshine as well. I have not cruised since October of 2019 with the Norwegian Cruise line. Had nothing to do with covid about cruising after that. I hope next time things will go a little bit better for you.
