Cruise vacation by TAlvarez

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Our favorite part of the cruise was the atmosphere and special attention.  It was very enjoyable, everyone was happy and truly showed.  The cruise director, Josh was awesome.  He had the prefect personality that made you feel welcome.  On the days that rain caused us to cancel events he felt truly sorry.  Our servers and everyone were amazing they went out of the way to answer, help  and full fill our smallest request.

I will truly recommend a cruise on Carnival it was very FUN.

The one thing I would recommend for a improvement is to have a backup plan for raining days.  For instance on arrival the Welcome party was cancelled because of the rain on the LIDO deck.  They could of had another plan in place.  Taking it to the lobby was not big enough for so many passengers.  IT was very crowed.  On our third night the Mega Party was rained out as well.  Same applied.

In overall my family and I truly had a great time.  Thank you.HappyBig SmileLove

This was the worse vacation I have ever been on!! by justcountrym

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Western

this was the worse vacation, from the time we bored the ship it was all  commercial, from asking do you want your teeth whitened, to acupuncture, the food was like  cafeteria food, and everything you wanted to do was an extra fee.

the comedy show was raited R so we passes on that. The captains dinner was 50.00 extra,

someone went into our room and used our daughters  tampons, and my  money clip was taken from our room, the  Casino  Was full cigarettes smoak, and you had to walk through it to go to other parts of the ship and we are allergic. We ported at 7:30 am and was not allowed to leave the ship until 11:30 am. This was horrible.carnival conquest cruise was not a good experience!

Fantastic getaway from the high paced, high technology world by clinternet

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The best part of the cruise for me was not having any electronics or connection to the outside world.  They sell service, but we opted for just the service that allowed us to keep in touch via Whatsapp.  It allows us all to live in the moment, but still let us stay in touch with each other or coordinate to meet somewhere.   My kids said they forgot they were on a boat at times since it was very much like a great hotel

Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Taking a cruise with Carnival was amazing! The service was above and beyond and I felt like I was catered to the entire time. I would recommend this cruise line to anyone and everyone who was interested in going on a cruise. I will most definitely be coming back again!

Took 5 hours to get off ship!!! by footseacruise

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

clean ship, good food, good shows!

but embarkation 1 hour on line terrible.

and disembatkation a nightmare 5 hour wait

Port Everglades US Immigration way understaffed

3 officers doing passport checks for over 3000 people!!!

Carnival needs to pay for more customs officers or they will lose future cruise passengers.

The stateroom of too many smells by Hrosa84

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Our cruise started by entering an interior stateroom on deck 8 that smelled musty and moldy. The smell was so potent I went right to guest services. They told me they would check on it and let me know. They never let me know. The moldy smell caused my allergies to flare up and I had to take round the clock allergy medicine and spend as little time as possible in the stateroom. On day 3 of a day 5 cruise we were alerted we would need to leave our stateroom at 9 am because our carpet was scheduled to be replaced. The moldy smell was gone but there a new even more potent smell of the glue they used to insert the new carpet. This gave me a huge headache. So we again found ourselves avoiding our stateroom as much as possible. It's too band because the ports were great and the ship didn't seem to crowded, but the thought of spending time in our room really stressed me out and the fact carnival did nothing speaks to there poor level of customer service and up keep of their ships. Shouldn't these staterooms be frequently tested for mold and carpet replacement happen while no one is on the ship???

Enjoyable cruise by SharRed

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

My favorite part of the cruise was the staff.  Most of the staff acted like they actually appreciated your being there.  We had a superb dining staff who were also a lot of fun.  The cruise capital came on the one evening to let us know that we were entering a high pressure zone and the waves would be higher than normal (6ft).  He explained that he was taking a little different direction to our next port to avoid as much weather as possible.  His info made us feel reassured that he and the crew were on top of things.Happy

The room was great we had a suite  The ship was beautiful.  This was my 10th cruise was very relaxing food was wonderful. I've been on other cruise lines and by far I feel  Carnival  does the best.  Had a great massage and four treatments of acupuncture very well worth it.

Self Serve Vacation by nphelps63650969

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

From the lines getting on the ship, to the lines to eat, to the lines getting off the ship - compare this to an all inclusive resort, and you'd never sail again. (Unless you like standing in line with hundreds of people and virtually serve yourself the entire vacation.

One of our stops, which we understood to be like the others, we were literally dropped on a beach with horse manure everywhere (think strong odor), with zero Carnival or other security personnel in case of any possible issues (When the horse grabbed my granddaughter by the throat - it was a true emergency, and no one was there to help.

Not again, not ever again

Great first cruise by ndennis2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Western

HappyThis was my first time going on a cruise, I had a fantastic time with friends and family. There was always something to do and the staff was very friendly. The only thing I would like to suggest is keeping certain food lines open a little longer for the days that we are allowed to go to the islands. When we came back there was only usually one food station open. Other than that I had a great time I wish I could have stayed another week and I would recommend Carnival Cruise line for first time cruisers.

Overall by crazycrckr

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Western

This was our first cruise. Overall it was great! The ship seems a little old, which you can tell if you look around with a closer eye. Cleaning staff is super friendly and make an effort to know you by name. Every time we saw IMADE he greeted us by our names and was always asking if everything was to our liking. Waiting staff in the restaurants are a little pushy. I understand that they need to service several people as quickly and efficiently as possible, but allowing those who chose the "your time dining" want to enjoy their dining experience instead of feeling rushed out. Our room was comfortable and always clean! We loved the towel animals that were put out daily. Decor was a little expired and the coral color along the ceiling was hard on the eyes but it was still cozy. We'll be booking with Carnival again but probably not the Conquest.

carnival conquest July 23,2016 by dnbarletta

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Western

This was an excellent cruise., The itinerary is fabulous. It sailed to 4 islands. They were Cozumel, Belize, Roatan, and Grand Caymen. All were just gorgeous. The cruise director Josh is outstanding at what he does. He is funny and gets to know all the people. All of the staff are friendly and helpful.  The ship is an older ship built in 2002 but has been refurbished with lots of new additives. Its decor is french style. Ship was always clean. Plenty of food choices. There is the buffett for breakfast and lunch and also dinner. Or you can dine in the dining room. They have a fish n chips place, a mexican place, Guy Fieros burger place and a deli that is superb. Pizza is always available and so is the ice cream. They have an upscale steak restaurant for a  nominal charge. Loved it.

Lots of Fun! by alicia109363

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Fun cruise, Cozumel and Grand Cayman were beautiful. Belize City and Roatan weren't as pretty at the port. Booked an excursion through for Honduras and no one showed up - now we have to try and get our money back. The excursion booked through Carnival (Sting Ray City) went off without a hitch and was tons of fun. The food was fairly good and they had some wild choices for dinner (ox tongue, escargot, lamb, lobster, frog legs...) so if you love different foods, you'll enjoy. Loved our waiter, Yaco! We requested him each night. We both got sick (some sort of upper repsiratory/cold) - they kept the boat very clean, but there's just so many people in a confined space. The food was available all day long and had more choices than we were even able to try. If you go at the busy times, be prepared to wait in looong lines. There's always things to do onboard - from bingo to kids shows to movies on deck to parties to lots of live music - Overall a very fun trip and would go again.

Fun cruise, great staff by Longtimetravelr

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Western

I have taken a number of cruises on different lines. This was my first Carnival cruise. I had expected a little lower end (my other cruises were on Ocean, etc) but was pleasantly surprised.  I am not a partier. I like a quiet pool and a good book while on the ship. There were crowds on the ship, but a few places to get some peace and quiet to read, so I was happy about that. The food was in general Las Vegas buffet quality, but there were some exceptions if you looked. The soups were all very good, as were a number of the appetizers. The entree's were ok, some were disappointing (the maui maui was dry, and the prime rib tough), but some were very good (the salmon was excellent, as was the pork). The wait staff was also very, very good. They all did a tremendous job, and we were all impressed. We ate at the steak house and were again pleasantly surprised. Not quite Morton's, but still all was very, very good. I would definitely go again- well worth the extra splurge. Nice atmosphere, generally good staff (though there were a few lapses). Large crowds on the rest of the ship as you would expect, but again you could find quiet places if you looked. The room was clean, in good shape and in good order. Quite happy with the room. We had a balcony and used it a lot (breakfast/coffee in the morning, reading and drinks late in the afternoon etc). The housekeeping staff was also excellent. The executive summary is- you will have a good cruise on Carnival. The food is not excellent, but good and if you look you can eat very well on the ship. But I would go back because of the staff. They all seemed genuine, and wanting to make sure you had a good time.

Plenty of time to Relax & DIVE! by TheDambraFamily

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The Ship (Conquest) was clean and maintained The Food (Buffet) was Hot and Fresh Restaurant / Dinner Service was mixed but mostly very good Meal selection was very good, Steak Med-Rare was always very rare Getting off at ports not bad / Getting back on was mixed, not organized... Offered Excursions Descriptions NOT Exactly Accurate - Somewhat Misleading Ie. - 4.5 Rainforest Horseback Riding: San Juan PR Wait for transportation... 45 minute ride to location

1/2 hr + getting everyone on a horse

45 minute trail ride in to the "Woods"

1/2 hr relax @ babbling brook coming down from Rainforest on Mountain

45 minute trail ride back to stables

45 minute transportation back to ship... Could see what was possibly a Rainforest on the mountain tops but never saw anything remotely close to what I anticipated Not a bad trail ride if the cruise group was smaller / broken up D.R. Amber Cove Port very nice, clean and well maintained

1/2 miles from the port... YIKES! Extreme Poverty, Trash Everywhere! JUST Because you are Poor doesn't mean you Have to live like a Pig... Bus To The Beach was Okay... Beach was, well a Beach, Nothing Special

Carnival NEEDS To VET Some of the Excursions and Accurately describe what is offered Had a 2 tank boat dive on Grand Turks with Oais Good Guides, Nice Dives Had a 2 tank beach dive on St. Thomas,  Not offered by excursions, Only offer Discovery Dive Self booked with Coki Dive Very nice beach dive(s) Overall the experience was very pleasurable

Mom and Daughter by 85becca

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

I loved how the staff treated us for the most part. We felt valued and very well taken care of. My only complaint was that on the trip, one of the stops is where my daughter met her father for the first time so I wanted the picture we took when disembarking from the boat of me and my daughter. The picture was never printed and the guy didn't seem to care that this was a moment I wanted. He just said if I take time out of my day and come back we can go over thousands of photos to see if can be reprinted. Offered no apologies or anything. Definitely has me possibly looking into other cruise ships in the future. With all the money we spend in total I think it should have been handled better.

the best vacation i have ever had by ladybugnurse

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

aside from the embarkation and debarkation process, this was the best vacation my family has ever had. The Chefs Table was amazing,we were treated like royalty and the food was divine! The dining room was always a great experience as well. We have been on numerous cruises and this dining experience was great, Luna And Peter were a blast!! We had anytime dining and only had to wait about 15 min on one occasion during the entire cruise. Our room was amazing as well, Micheal on Deck 6 did a fantastic job of taking care of us each day and we looked forward to coming back to the room each night to see which "animal " we were to find.Having never booked a Balcony suite until this trip,we can honestly say it was well worth every extra penny that we spent. The Ports were amazing and the water was to die for!!
