If you enjoy the buffet for breakfast and/or lunch, eat on deck 10 aft for more seating options ans less people.
We especially enjoyed relaxing and reading on the Serenity deck. You can choose either sun or shade. They give you a towel, you can take your food up there to eat, and they offer drink service, too.
I forgot one last tour we took. It was the 'Behind the Scene's' tour. Awesome, awesome, awesome! This was worth the price we paid. We got to see where the crew goes & how they live, how the ship runs, where the food is prepared and met the Captain. This is a must do tour!
LOTS of kids on board during the summer months. Wait till school is in for a more relaxed trip
During days 'at sea' check out afternoon Tea time at Monet Restaurant.
If you do not want to be rushed during dinner, take a late one and at the same time get to know a little more of your servers. As the evening dies down, they have more time to answer any questions you may have, out of the ordinary "what's in this meal"? and learn a little-bit about their culture.
The pizza was good as usual, 24 hours and the addition of Guy,s Burger Joint was great!
There is so many choices when it comes to dining. Try things out of your comfort zone.
get to bfast early long lines. dining room good, but long wait. sundeck chairs held by towels .
If you are looking for good food and entertainment spend a little more and choose a different line!
Make sure you bring enough cash! You'll want $20s for any excursions/cab fares and lots of $1s and $5s for tips along the way. The ATM onboard charges like, $7. Also, please tip your waitstaff extra if they deserve it, and they will!
Visit the little Seafood Restaurant on the second floor of the Lido. The Bouillabaisse was super delicious. The ceviche and seafood fritters were excellent. Plus, very few people go there, so it's quiet and with a nice view.
The free drink for gold members should be allowed to be used anytime during the trip. Why do I have to wait for the last night.
Don't take the Christmas Cruise. It should have been decorated for the holidays throughout the ship. Was only decorated in the main lobby. Didn't feel Christmassy at all.
The customer service desk staff were great. The beach at grand Turk was awesome. All the ports we stopped at were great.
Go to cruiseline.com or Carnival and read the reviews on the forum before you purchase another vacation on a cruise line. Don't always set your expectations super high, especially if you never done a cruise. Be flexible and accept that things could go wrong, just keep open mind and stay positive.
Due to a hurricane Carnival cancelled the Grand Turk Port due to safety issues. Which was fine. However, they only refunded us $15.19 for the taxes and port charges for this port. They also did not offer any credit towards a future cruise. I called to complain and all they said was We are sorry.
Be sure to take along extra medications like cough syrup etc. We both caught a cold and the Duty Free shop on board wanted $18 for a small 6oz bottle of Nyquil that you can get at Walmart for $7. That was a total ripoff. I refused to pay and suffered with my cough for 2 days.
Definitely go to the Steak House! It is the best meal you will have on the boat and well worth the extra price you have to pay!
Nice job of the all the staff. DJ kept a party going when on. Entertainment was very professionally done. It felt as the main waiter on the seated dinner was confused and rushed at times.
