Review summary

The best part of the cruise for me was not having any electronics or connection to the outside world.  They sell service, but we opted for just the service that allowed us to keep in touch via Whatsapp.  It allows us all to live in the moment, but still let us stay in touch with each other or coordinate to meet somewhere.   My kids said they forgot they were on a boat at times since it was very much like a great hotel

Only one drink at a time may be ordered. No sharing is permitted. There is a 5 minutes wait time between ordering drinks. Program allows for up to 15 alcoholic drinks per 24 hour period (6am-6am). Guests saili

It also depends which port you leave from as well there are two or three ports that you have to wait till second the day before the package starts. It has to do with something in regards to state laws

No you pay one price before you sail and then I think it goes up 5 to dollars if you buy it on the ship. My wife and I decided to get it this cruise since we spent so much on our last cruise. Carnival changed their cheers package to include coffee milkshakes vitamin water rockstar sand up their price for each drink amount

All spirits (including cocktails), as well as beer and wine by the glass with a $50.00 or lower menu price Sodas, Zero-Proof frozen cocktails, energy drinks, specialty coffee, hot tea, 500ml bottled water and other non-alcoholic bottled beverages Large format water bottles in the Dining Room and Specialty Restaurants 25% discount off the menu price for any spirit or wine by the glass above $50.0

Then it would be 349 dollars for you. It includes up to 15 drinks a day. You can have any drink that is up to 50 dollars. You get discounts on bottles of wine and liquor.

Cheers package for my six day cruise it's 698, that is with gratuity already included. The down fall is that everybody in your room that is 21 or older. So if the other person you are cruising with is 21 and does not drink they still have the purchase it. The package includes pop, rockstar energy, vitamin water, specialty coffee, milkshakes, and any drink up to 50 dollars.

Thanks for the information

Yes.  The app is free in Google Play or Apple Store.  You can communicate with anyone with the app and send pictures.  For the 5 day cruise, the basic internet package for messenger, twitter, what's app, etc‚ was $18 per person.  The only time we had issues were when we were quite close to Cuba, which was a few times, the service didn't work for a bit.

I have family that I need contact once day at home....so we both can download what's up app. And can communicate thru it with 5$ day plan?

clinternet    8 years ago

They have three tiers of internet.  The lowest option let us use Facebook messenger, twitter and whatsapp.   You could also search google, but not click on any articles.  I liked that google would shoe Olympic details and weather.  It was enough for us.

Back to WhatsApp.  Download the app and you can chat with anyone else who has the app whether they are on the boat or back at home, even share pictures!  You cannot call through it like you can when when on WIFI off the boat.  .

I saw a few people with walkies.  Seemed to be working for them.

banaford    8 years ago

Exactly! Just get long range ones. I hear those work best.

USMC2004    8 years ago

100 bucks for the four us? I just go buy some walker talkies

Usmc2004..I believe you will need the 5.00 per day social pkg for whatsapp.

Paris8754    8 years ago

My exact feeling you summed it up perfectly

Can you give me some more information on whatsapp please. Leaving in 11 days, I was hoping the HUB app would be on the ship by now but it's not. We are traveling with our two daughters age 13 and 10.
