Nice time with my niece on her first cruise. Like my last review there were uneven moments but I had a nice time.

Lovely by kelskazoo22

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Conquest

This is my favorite ship. Overall a good time. I enjoyed the art auction and picked up a few new pieces. Enjoyed room service for breakfast and just relaxed on cruise three of four! Cozumel is my favorite port and I decided to just do a bit of shopping and then hung out and people watched. The ship was not as clean as on prior cruises. I hope it was just a hiccup. Can’t wait for my next Conquest cruise!

Short and relaxing. by Saylorgirl

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest

I almost didn't go as I had read so many bad reviews about the Conquest. However I was pleasantly surprised. Maybe because school was in session, no spring break? Not sure what it was except that it was a wonderful time. Didn't observe crazy drunk people or unruly children. I also didn't smell Marijuana until leaving cozumel. I believe the k9s in Miami is helping with the illegal drug use. All in all it was a wonderful cruise.

Amazing 1st Cruise by tanyageir

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Western

I was nervous not knowing what it would be like and if I had packed everything I may need. But I enjoyed the cruise immensely and cannot wait to go again.

Nice cruise. by wizard74fl

Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Cruise review for Carnival Conquest, 4-day cruise round-trip from Miami (December 12-16, 2022) Inside Stateroom #8214. ------------------------- PROS: ------------------------- Our stateroom attendant (Supa) was friendly and kept our stateroom nice and clean. Our stateroom had good shower water pressure and temperature controls. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. There was plenty of drawers, hangers and closet space too. As expected the food was excellent (especially the pizza, Guy's burgers, barbeque, salads and desserts). Half Moon Cay was great (nice clean water and beach). Comedian Jaylyn Bishop was very funny. She is a natural comedian. We went to three of her shows (all different material). She has lots of energy and tells great stories about her family and experiences. Make sure that you sit up front so you can see all her hilarious facial expressions! The band called Latin Fiesta with Toda la Banda is terrific. They are a high energy Latin band that plays great Latin dance music (Cha Cha, Salsa, Merengue, Bachata and Cumbia). We danced to their music every night. Also, the sound system in the Impressions Bar (right across from the casino) is the best I have heard on any of the Carnival sister ships. The ship looks great since its last renovation. ------------------------- CONS: ------------------------- Good desserts (cake and cookies) are only available in the buffet during lunch time. There are no cookies and only mediocre cakes in the buffet at dinner time. Carnival has also stopped making the really good salted chocolate chip cookies in the deli. The variety violin music played in the lobby was nice, but very little of it is danceable. Too bad since you have a nice empty wood dance floor during their shows. They play mostly popular sound tracks from movies. It would be nice if they would learn to play a few simple Waltz and Foxtrot tunes so people can dance. In consistent pizza quality from the Pizza Pirate. The first couple of days the pizza wasn't cooked enough (not crispy). I think they were only cooking it for 5 minutes (it really needs about 8 minutes). On the last day the pizza was cooked better (nice a crispy). Also, the roasted garlic that guests can sprinkle on their pizza was not available the first two days. Thankfully, after asking many times, the roasted garlic was made available on the last two days. The clock behind the guest services desk was broken (i.e. the time was off by several hours). The clock on the Lido deck by the pool was off by a half an hour. This needs to be fixed as not all of us want to carry our cell phones everywhere. The paper copy of the daily program incorrectly listed the attire as "casual" on elegant night. I believe the Carnival app was wrong too. This caused a lot of confusion for many guests. When returning to Miami, the ship parked in a different spot (terminal F) than the one we stared from (terminal D). This caused us to have to walk 3 tenths of a mile with our luggage in the rain on Friday morning to get back to our car that was parked in the parking garage in front of terminal D. We asked several times and no shuttle was provided.

I don’t recommend it. My last cruise with carnival was 15 years ago and I must say, it was nothing like my previous experience. I am very dissatisfied.

Fun First Cruise by MamaMermaid

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

It was a good experience, but I could have made different choices in cruises that may have made it better. It was a rowdy partying type cruise which is fine but not for me. Too many rude inconsiderate people on board. But others were great. Overall, everything was good and we had a good time and the experiences we had. We learned some lessons in travel as well as we are fairly inexperienced in that. Still would love to cruise again and try some new ports.

Good value. Not a fan of port Miami though. Embarkation was just okay. Disembarking was a pain.

Problems from the beginning. by chrisking27

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Started a bit rough. While checking in, the attendant asked if I had a health problem. Then we were directed to go to the customer service desk. Waited in line, and they did not know what was going on. Told us we were fine so we went to the boarding area and sat down. Moments later, we were paged to go back.to customer service where the manager explained that our original room had some water damage and that it was a health issue so they needed to change our rooms. They gave us the new keys. We moved further back but same side and same view so no big deal. After boarding and when the rooms opened up, we went to our room and the new keys did not work. We then waited in a two hour line to get another set programmed. Unfortunately, we had ordered the cooler and water package to be sent to our room. All the other items like pictures and credit had transfered but the water was sent to the old room. Back in line at customer support. Only an hour this time and the service rep had to fight with room service to send another since the old one was actually delivered to the wrong room. After that, things went well until we were at breakfast planning our day on Bimini when the captain said we could not dock there and that we were going to go to Freeport instead. A much less desirable location for us. We went to the adventure station and asked about what was available but the person helping us had never been there. The App had not updated yet. We walked away and went back a couple hours later and the only shopping adventure was full. At this point, I was super frustrated and disappointed. We were going to have to stay on the ship because the other representative at the adventure center said that it is sketchy to catch a cab to go to the shopping district. We walked the small shops at the port and made the best of it. Overall, Carnival had opportunities to make us consider them again, but I feel they may have let those chances slip by.

Had a great time, it was my first cruise. Steward and restaurant staff were the best, also loved comedy club. I did fall and injured my ankle, had to wait a couple of hours for medical to open so I could be seen.

confusing but fun by peacefullpixie1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Overall we were pretty confused on the ship (first cruise). Itinerary was confusing and times often wrong. Every staff we asked for assistance sent us to another, until we gave up. Once we got the hang of it, it was pretty fun. But we felt like the first two days were wasted with no assistance from staff. Would also have liked a coffee pot in the room, as dining area was far from our room.

nice cruise but kids should not be running and people that drink should not be allowed to disrupt others in main dinning room by Redlady21

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

i did have a negative experience in the main dinning room. A group of individuals were drunk in the restaurant and couldn't even wait to get my food because they were so load. No one from the restaurant did anything. so i had to leave. People that can't handle alcohol should not be drinking.

If you are looking for a fun, affordable, quick cruise, this is your ship and itinerary! by tsmithy1992

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest

Other aspects of the cruise and ship, overall I thought the ship was very clean, the service is good, they are all so friendly. When you are sitting on the pool deck, you rarely have to wait 5-10 mins for someone to come around and ask you for a drink, or for someone to take your plates or glasses. We did Afternoon Tea during our Sea Day, it was okay, nice to sit and relax and have a good cup of tea, cake and sandwiches. Overall it was a great cruise, if you are looking for value for money, no frills, fun cruise, this is your ideal cruise ship and itinerary.

This was a mess but I still had fun. by kelskazoo22

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Conquest

The final cruise of my multi-back (3). Had fun going with someone new to cruising but was often embarrassed by the overall behavior on the ship. Yelling and screaming in the hallways at all hours (if you want to call your very young kids those kinds of names please do it in private), smoking and shouting on balconies all the darn time and vaping in the lobby bar and at buffet. Who are you people? I spent a lot of time being appalled and moving to different areas. Three day cruises are over for me (have two more booked). Not sure if I just hit a bad patch of people needing to cut loose. Way to many stumbling drunks. I still had fun and tried hard to ignore most of the chaos. The only bee in my bonnet was watching people trying to remove gratuity from their bills especially the people who won over $1500 in the casino who thought it was a hoot to have it removed and then bragged about it at the lobby bar. Which of course sent others to the line to do the same. If this had been my first cruise I’m not sure I’d do it again. My friend did have a great time but was equally dismayed over some of the behavior.
