Review summary

It was a good experience, but I could have made different choices in cruises that may have made it better. It was a rowdy partying type cruise which is fine but not for me. Too many rude inconsiderate people on board. But others were great. Overall, everything was good and we had a good time and the experiences we had. We learned some lessons in travel as well as we are fairly inexperienced in that. Still would love to cruise again and try some new ports.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
They moved us through the process fairly quickly and were very efficient.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The food could use a little more variety and higher quality in the buffet and MDR. But overall it was good. Travelled with kids and they loved Guy’s. Room service menu was quite small, but the food they had was good.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Violinists were excellent as well as the guitarists. The rock show was fun and we had a great time.

Children's Programs

We didn’t end up sending our daughter to the kids club, she wanted to stay close to us.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room steward, Seti, was wonderful. He made everything clean and comfortable and always remembered our names and gave a friendly hello when we saw him in the halls. The rest of the staff was great as well.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Everything seemed clean and for an older ship, it seemed to be in good condition.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Comfortable bed, clean and comfortable in general. Liked the balcony but didn’t spend a ton of time out there so I may try an interior next time to see the difference and be able to cruise more often with a less expensive cabin.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)

Disembarkation

Long lines to disembark and get through customs.

Longer cruises you’ll definitely get less of that but shorter cruises are good for when you’re first trying it out!

Longer Cruises are better, especially when you are traveling across country to a port.

Glad you enjoyed your first cruise. Longer cruises are better.

Agreed - the short cruises are more of a booze cruise.

Glad you made the best of it. Try a 7 night or longer cruise for a calmer onboard experience.
