If you like to gamble and do not smoke, be aware that smoking is allowed in half of the Casino and it can be smelled throughout the Casino. Do not buy the Coffee card package, not worth it. Be prepared to pay for better quality food.

If you don't like a mattress that is a small hard as a rock ask your stateroom attendant to put extra padding! The beds are terrible.

As with all cruises, I wouldn't show up until after the State rooms open. This is a very large ship and the Windjammer and available open cafes fill very quickly with those waiting to get to rooms.

Use advance reserve. But still no great waiting if you do not.

Check out all the upcharges that seem to lurk everywhere. We figure we paid approx. $200 a person, per day to be on this ship. Then if you wanted let's say a club soda, you were charged $4.50. Absolutely ridiculous. Upcharges for better meals. This vacation was definitely not my favorite.

Schedule your embark time around 1PM because your room will probably be ready. Eat at Cafe 270 when you arrive in order to avoid the crowds.

We made reservations for the entertainment prior to the cruise so we got to see everything. One other thing: looking for a place to relax that is less crowded in the afternoon: try Two70 in the stern. Comfortable seats; a bar and food.

If you do the ripcord, make sure they have a photographer. If not get someone to take them for you or try to do it yourself. Might be a once in a lifetime opportunity.

If looking for craft beer, don't trust royal Caribbean will actually have them in the craft beer pub.

arrive at the beginning or near the end of the meal times (which vary somewhat from venue to venue) to avoid hunting for seating with an ocean view while dining
