Review summary
I really enjoyed the ship, plenty of amenities and very attentive staff. Quality of the food in the main dining room has slipped from when I sailed with Royal Caribbean several years ago, but it was very well prepared. The NY Strip with Green Peppercorn sauce was particularly good. This was my first trip to Bermuda and I spent several years in the Caribbean, so my expectation for an island was colored by that. The shopping was not as good as I had anticipated. The beaches however were great; the sand is powdery and soft and doesn't get hot as in the Caribbean and US beaches. The reefs lacked color due to the cold water corals, but were very expansive, given the intense protection Bermuda has I would have expected more sea life around the reefs but it was as lackluster as the corals. Transportation around the island was relatively easy the bus and ferry system was reasonably priced and dependable as long as you're not in a big hurry. The view from Gibb Hill lighthouse was worth the climb from the bus stop to get there. St Maarten is my favorite island and with that as a 10, I would rate Bermuda a 5. Overall our trip was relaxing and enjoyable, I give it 4 stars.

Ship tip
As with all cruises, I wouldn't show up until after the State rooms open. This is a very large ship and the Windjammer and available open cafes fill very quickly with those waiting to get to rooms.
