A: I traveled across the Atlantic. The only part that was rough was leaving the Bermuda area, when we entered the Atlantic proper. That was one night, and the rest was like sailing in a bathtub. A: I wish I knew the answer to that as well. I’ve been on cruises that were bumpy for days in a row and they were not all that pleasant. I’m hoping for a calm smooth passage all the way to England myself.

A: I know last year you could just stand by form the North Star. I am really upset that these cost money now. It was all free prior to COVID. $50 for a 2 minute ifly is ridiculous in my opinion.

Answered by Irishxtine on January 28, 2024

A: You do it onboard on the app the night before you want to do it. The free rides are while the ship is in port.

Answered by kef2016 on January 26, 2024

A: They can be made on the app but the fill up really fast so make it one of the first things you do.

Answered by Header08 on January 30, 2024

A: Wow, I didn't know they charged now. 2018 we did it three times for free! New England cruise was mainly older pax and we had no trouble booking it. North Star just lifts you up over the ship a bit.

A: Pack a warm pair of clothes or two NY can get a little cold. Also, pack extra snacks, soda etc. For the ports because food is expensive.

Answered by Matty123 on November 21, 2023

A: We did the same ship out of NJ last February. Figure 1 1/2 days on each end in cold weather if you go outside. To be honest we would never do it again. Felt like a loss of 3 days on a 7 night cruise. We will stick to Florida embarking in the winter m... onths even if it does cost us airfare.See More

A: You should look now with the Black Friday sales. I just booked lunch at Chops and Giovanni for my June cruises- lunch at chops was $12.99- can’t buy a 8 ounce Filet with appetizers and desert anywhere for that price. I ate at Chops for lunch on the... Anthem and it was delicious. I try to book the last day at sea for lunch as I noticed the menu in the MDR on the last night is usually not appealing to me.See More

Answered by TravelinTess on October 30, 2023

A: Even though the bistro is in the Solarium area, it is not an age restricted venue. However because people think it is, there are fewer young people as a result. TLDR; Kids are allowed in the solarium bistro.

Answered by Ricdalek on October 2, 2023

A: The last time we sailed the Anthem '22, fir breakfast and lunch the only entry to the Bistro was the doors within the Solorium making if more or less adults only. BUT at dinner time the entry used was the one in the passageway adjacent to the elevato... rs. On our previous voyages we did not see young children at dinner there but there were definitely tables with teens w/their parents/guardians.See More

A: Also on US departures Royal no longer holds true Formal Nights, they've downgraded the minimum dress code to a better business casual. In other words a neat pair of khakis or dark jeans with a button down shirt is now good enough.

Answered by maryred on September 24, 2023

A: Even with MTD you still need to check-in with the host(ess) to confirm your arrival and table number, but the reserved line gets seated faster than the walk-up passengers do.
