coastal kitchen was a good experience. their food was better than the main dining for the most part. I felt more constricted in this place due to the poor sitting situation. the chairs aren't comforta... ble and at times i felt too close to someone that was eating beside me. i like privacy and it was too quiet in there where I felt that people could hear my conversation and too cramped... and i know that the crew knows who's got full access to the coastal and I think they treated those people better than someone with a jr. suite.. Our first and second time at this venue. My wife loves eggplant parmesan and Jamie's was very good. Most if not all the entrees are pasta based but we like that. The Lasagna was good too.

The food was good, nothing over the top, but just ok. I hated the layout of it. You don't get seated with a waiter and order that was, you go up to a desk, order, sit down, and go get your food when y... ou are called. I hated this because it was a little chaotic and it made me feel like I was ordering from a fast food restaurant which was not the type of experience that I was expecting. On no other Royal Caribbean ship was the Johnny Rockets experience as bad as on Anthem. Read More

Anthem Windjammer layout is different than all other ships. All food stations are in one common area at the entry point. Seating extends around and to the back of the ship. This causes increased conge... stion in the food selection area. The placement of pastries on the opposite side from where eggs are prepared made you have to walk around much more than necessary adding to the congestion. Read More
