Awesome Staff by aewinsor

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

It felt good to be back on a ship. I missed cruising. My husband and I generally cruised for our anniversary. Since he passed away I am planning on keeping with the tradition.

Everything was so awesome we had a great time. Remember bring lots of sunscreen cash for tipping and don’t vape in your cabin, Actual accident he doesn’t actually smoke it except next to the pool.

It’s sooooo very nice to be back cruising after Covid, especially when ships aren’t booked at capacity! Prices are more affordable than ever & service is over the top.

Short AND Sweet by cheezedanish

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Adventure of the Seas

Took a 5 night out of Galveston. It was chilly so the first night was spent indoors. 2 stops at Costa Maya and Cozumel and 2 days at sea. This was more of a chill out vacation so we didn't do much at ports or take in many activities on board. Most time was spent relaxing pool side, in the hot tubs, or laying out on the balcony. It was amazing.

Very relaxing by fsprrp

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

It was the most relaxing experience we have had in many years. Take a pair of pants with you one size bigger than normal, because after all of the great food you will need them.

Adventure of the Seas 01/2022 by ShawnandChris

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Adventure of the Seas

The Adventure of the Seas is a nice older ship. We have cruised aboard several times before and will again in the future. We spoke with a few older guests that stated they enjoyed the low guest capacity, the quietness, and general relaxed feel of this current cruise. We spoke with younger and middle aged guests who stated they was bored out of their minds and couldn’t wait to return to Galveston. We personally fell in the middle. During bad weather we was really bored with nothing to do. During the moments the weather was nice, we enjoyed being out on the decks lounging in the sun with the relaxed atmosphere. There will no doubt be some people leaving comments scolding anyone who writes anything negative with a cruise review and that’s fine, it’s my review and not theirs. At this time, I personally believe Royal Caribbean has removed some entertainment offerings for “passenger safety/covid protocols” that doesn’t make sense. A ‘70’s disco was held around the pool one night and that was considered safe but a belly flop competition could not be held due to passenger safety and covid protocols? Same passengers around the same pool? The Love and Marriage game show could not be held in the theater due to passenger safety/covid protocols but we gathered in the theater for all of the headliner acts and production shows and that’s considered safe? We can’t gather for a game of The Quest but we can gather/dance together during a silent disco? Safety and health is important, that’s not the point. The point is what is allowed and what isn’t allowed just doesn’t make sense. In my opinion if you enjoy a decent breakfast, lunch, and dinner then after each maybe returning to your cabin to lay down and nap…. it’s a great time to cruise. If you prefer activities/entertainment with a more lively atmosphere from more passengers than not onboard…. perhaps you should avoid a cruise at this time.

Outdated ship and just "ok" cruise line by njohnson1591

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

This was our first time with Royal. The boat was our biggest issue. Very outdated and left a lot to be desired. I would sail with them again on a newer boat. Shore excursions were good which made up for some lackluster onboard options. We got an insanely good price on this cruise so I felt like I mostly got what I paid for.

Alternate reality Cruise by 4mishl

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

This was a fantastic cruise, less than 30% capacity so not the real cruising experience. I feel sorry for the staff being out of work, but I am glad that I had the chance to experience an "empty" ship on this cruise. Our last cruise was in December 2019 so we were just happy to be back on board, the ports did not matter to us.

Ship needs to be updated. Also, Royal does not treat their Pinnacles good, taking away privileges by johnfegan

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The cruise was good. But disappointed in how Pinnacles are treated. We were stuck in the library, it was dark and a tiny porthole. I spent well over $200K to get to Pinnacle and they are taking all the privileges away. The program is not worth the loyalty to become Pinnacle. Probably going to start trying other cruise lines
