Wonderful Alaskan Cruise by domca

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Oosterdam / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

Great cruise to Alaska. Small Ship and great crew. The food could have been better but the service and staff compensated for it. The entertainment was great and the cabins nice and comfortable. The views in Alaska were amazing and we had a great time viewing whales form the observation deck. I would do this cruise again .

Trip of a lifetime overshadows coldness by rfmunroe82

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Ruby Princess / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

We were delighted to take this cruise. It more than lived up to our expectations. Kudos to Princess. You have studied how people react, what they want. Need more diversity in ads and luggage racks on staterooms Rangers were very helpful as were excursion guides Ready to repeat

Amazing Alaska Awaits by mrsmiddle

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Solstice / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

The cruise was great because of the staff. The food left a lot to be desired. Most of the ports were amazing, and the captain was excellent!

GREAT TRIP by Comeonna

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Solstice / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

What a wonderful experience! Only negative thing was the endless “up selling” from every staff member! It was getting very frustrating! Other than that, we had a great trip.

Alaska by indi712

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Celebrity Solstice / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

I discovered blood stains on my sheets on the first night after dinner. The state room attendant took care of the situation immediately, however I didn't hear from Mgt until I got a call from Guest Relations days later. I was very disappointed with your laundered service and how they can wash and return sheets with blood stains on them. I've been on +10 cruises and never encountered a situation like this. I was not happy with how Guest Relations manage my situation. Love the captain!!!

Trip of a Lifetime! by JWinger82

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Ovation of the Seas / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

Alaska was unlike any other place I've visited before. Cruising on the ovation of the seas really made it an enjoyable way to see this part of the country and the gorgeous scenery and wildlife that are native to this area. We planned this trip over a year and a half ago, and we are so happy that we made it happen. Booking through was really helpful in being able to pay it off gradually. Would not hesitate to book another cruise through royal Caribbean or through again.

We had a great trip. The cruise line quality has declined. So many extra charges, like the bubbles plan had the kids go to the bars to get a soda, the food was great. The ice sculpure was beautiful but hard to see and only one chance to see. No sulpure by bklyon

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Legend / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

The quality was not there. Not great family stage shows. Raw comedy at 9, would be ok at 12.

The best part of the cruise was the staff. Friendliest I have ever experienced. Always there to greet and please.

Not Worth It by jmacon

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Norwegian Bliss / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

This is our first cruise, and we were very disappointed. We travel quite a bit, and considering how expensive the trip was, it did not meet our expectations. I would not travel with Norwegian again.

Terrible! Food was disgusting. Wast of money on Oosterdam ship. by DJBIII

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Oosterdam / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

My husband and I have been on numerous cruises and this was our first Holland cruise and it was by far the worst cruise. The food was HORRIBLE and DISGUSTING!! The only things edible were the Dive, salad bar and ice cream. When you pay for a cruise with food included in the price you are looking for food that you can eat without feeling like you have to regurgitate. I always assumed that if cooking dinner was hard the least one could do was cook a decent breakfast. The breakfast was terrible. For example, the scrambled eggs taste worse than powdered eggs (how is that possible...) and the regular bacon taste like it was boiled. My husband and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary and we made reservations at the Canaletto. We were under the assumption that the food would be better than the Lido and the main dining. Canaletto's food was miserably bad on a scale 1-10, it was a zero. My husband and I took one bite of our food and left the restaurant.

Found out I'm not a crusier! by firewife714

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Joy / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

Too confined! My fault for getting a inside cabin, I dealt with that but I just felt so confined during the whole trip! Always on ships schedule. Dinning room was the best of all! Food was superb! Servers and Supervisor excellent! Always looked forward to dinner! Entertainment was Very Good!! ELEMENTS was fabulous! All in all just too many people on board and in ports. Especially when with other ships in Port.

Alaska 2019 by thollman

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Grand Princess / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

Had a great time. Ship needs to be refurbished. Food was not as good as previous cruises. Weather was not the best, but the best was the glacier and how the ship sailed into the Forjd. It was a good time by all.

Adventurous Alaskan Cruise by jsigmont

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Joy / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

I liked the cruise. The boat was not as fancy as I thought it would be. The only other cruise I have been on was a Princess cruise. That boat had many fancy decorations. There was only one really fancy chandelier and a glass staircase on the Norwegian Joy.

It was nice but wish would have done more research. Princess seems to be more for the elderly by badboyterribles

The staff and captain are awesome. They made the experience great. Wish they would have more presentations without trying to push merchandise.

We had a great trip, however we were put in stateroom #11110 which is the farthest from the elevator, my husband and I are both disabled and handicapped, we needed a room very close to the elevator. The travel agent told us we were right next to the elev by mluersx5

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Joy / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

We had a wonderful time on the cruise, like I had already said, we were not happy about the fact that the travel agent told us we were right near the elevators, we were not and so therefore we had to do a great deal of walking and between my husband's bad back and knees and arthritis, and my very bad back, the walking back and forth all the way to room 11110 was not helping the matter. Someone needs to tell the travel agents to look at the map and make sure that they are getting elderly and disabled people closer to the elevators. Thank you for giving us a fantastic vacation, next time, give us a stateroom closer to the elevators.
