Service and Staff

AMAZING SERVICE from room attendant to waiters to concierge to all ship personnel. Not one negative experience.

Ship Quality

Very clean and well-maintained.

Cabin / Stateroom

Our cabin was comfortable with adequate storage. Our attendant was wonderful and our room was always clean with plenty of towels, soaps, etc. Only minus - there wasn’t an electrical outlet by or near the bed to plug a CPAP into. They had to run and tape down an orange electrical cord across the room to the only outlet in the cabin.

Ship tip

Enjoy yourself doing as little or as much as you want. There is something for everyone.

Ports of call

Seattle, Washington

Not the easiest to negotiate. From where you’re dropped off with your luggage to boarding the ship is quite a walk.

Ketchikan, Alaska

You walked off the ship and the town was right there. This was the only town where it rained. Went on the Ketchikan Cultural Discovery excursion. Really enjoyed hiking through the rainforest and meeting the man who creates the totem poles. Could have done without the second half of this tour.

CRUISE ENDICOTT ARM & DAWES GLACIER

Beautiful trip to see the glacier.

Juneau, Alaska

We chose the Mendenhall Glacier, Whale Watching and Wildlife Quest. Whale watching and wildlife was awesome. We saw whales, stellar sea lions and bald eagles! Mendenhall glacier was very disappointing and would not recommend.

Skagway, Alaska

Long way from the ship to the end of the pier. Solstice is a large ship and therefore could not dock close due to pier size. Went on A White Pass Scenic Railway. Enjoyed this excursion.

Cruise Inside Passage, Alaska

Victoria, British Columbia

From the port to town was a 30 minute walk. Went on the excursion O Canada! Victoria Highlights. Nothing like we thought it would be. Disappointed in this one.

Disembarkation

Went pretty smooth. Must say it was more exciting when we boarded the ship then to be leaving. Our wonderful cruise went by way too fast. Time to start saving for the next one!

She's our all time favourite ship but only for adults. Children & young people do not find enough to keep entertained on her. Loved the adults solarium with relaxing music on in the background.

Need to book the Edge next cruise. They have outlet next to bed and additional outlets and usb ports at the desk.
