Review summary

Alaska was unlike any other place I've visited before. Cruising on the ovation of the seas really made it an enjoyable way to see this part of the country and the gorgeous scenery and wildlife that are native to this area. We planned this trip over a year and a half ago, and we are so happy that we made it happen. Booking through was really helpful in being able to pay it off gradually. Would not hesitate to book another cruise through royal Caribbean or through again.

Embarkation

Couldn't have been easier or smoother. Got to board the ship an hour before our designated time. Rooms were ready when they said they would be after a small wait, and bags showed up shortly after that evening.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The food on cruises never blows me away, but I accept that fact because they have to mass produce it. The choices were good and the service was great for the most part. Dining experience overall was wonderful.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Our sea days were packed with going from activity to activity. Lots of fun, great entertainment, trivia, and we even took second place in the dodge ball tournament!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The on-board entertainment was broadway caliber! The headliners were just ok though.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room steward was amazing! Even with all the stuff we had in his way, he made the room look nice. He was very accommodating.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ship was absolutely amazing. Gorgeous and tons to do. Missing a big atrium area that a lot of ships have, but didn't detract from the experience.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Huge cabin, great use of space. The bathroom and the shower were also larger than we were used to. The virtual balcony was great too! Felt pretty close to looking outside and made me forget we were in an interior room.

Ship tip

get to activities and shows early because there are a lot of people.

CRUISE ENDICOTT ARM & DAWES GLACIER

Gorgeous day and views of the glacier. The captain spun the boat 360 degrees 3 times so we could all get a great view of the glacier.

we did not do an excursion here, but did a hop on/off bus tour around the city and walked around ourselves.
