One of the best things about traveling on a cruise ship is the wide variety of restaurants onboard. There’s something for everyone, including those with the pickiest of palettes. Families know this is especially true when traveling with kids!

Dining on a cruise ship is a great way to introduce new cuisine to your family. The main dining room, buffet, and specialty restaurants provide options to experience foods. In addition, many cruise lines have developed family-centric restaurants on newer ships to provide a fun experience for sailors of all ages. Some of these eateries incorporate themed entertainment, whimsical cuisine, and a playful dining atmosphere.

The following six cruise ship restaurants stood out from the pack as the most family-friendly eateries at sea.

1. Arendelle - Disney Cruise Line

Arendelle is one of the most family-friendly dining shows we’ve seen on any newer cruise ship. A Frozen-themed character experience combines dining and a live performance celebrating the popular movie. The menu features Scandanavian-themed dishes in homage to the show’s setting. Guests are welcome to sing along to popular tunes like Let It Go in an ice castle-themed setting.
