Don't bother getting the drink packages. They are expensive as a whole. Individual drinks do not cost that much. If you are a coffee drinker there is a coffee bar on ship like Starbucks. Buy a bottle of wine your first night and it will follow you the rest of the trip! Drink and enjoy!

For example: Remember it's YOUR vacation, just because the ship is at port doesn't me you HAVE TO get off the boat. Do what works for you, if your 'my time' dining doesn't work, then change it. If service is bad, SAY SOMETHING to a manager. And if someone is great, recognise them. :)

Great ship. I was amazed at how clean it was. Great wood details in the English Pub and Safari Club bars. The self-leveling billiard tables are something to see! Our grandchildren loved the Ocean Adventure activities and cried when we went to take them out for dinner. Very good ship for families.

I WOULD SAY THE SERENADE IS A MID-SIZED SHIP AND GREAT FOR TRAVELING WITH FAMILY. IT TOOK SOME TIME TO GET ONTO THE LAYOUT OF THE SHIP (NOT UNCOMMON), BUT ONCE WE DID, IT WAS EASY TO FIND THE PLACES WHERE WE NEEDED TO GO. WOULD RECOMMEND,

Definitely recommend getting a balcony stateroom. My wife and I found it very peaceful and surprisingly quiet when we had our door open.

Unlike most cruise ships, you'll find that it's easy to navigate around Serenade of the Seas ... even after the first day.

Research the ports yourself. Bring copies of the research with you, or prepare for a substantial additional charge for internet connection. Bring a lot of warm clothes. Average on deck temperature for this crossing was 39-46 degrees and very windy. Bring a small sturdy umbrella.
