Balcony if you can afford it. Ask your waiter for a preview of the next night's dinner menu.

Get a balcony so you can see everything going on outside, I think it would get clostophobic in an inside cabin. It was nice seeing things as they were happening.

Your trip is going to be what you make it. If you go in looking for all the negative, our will find it, and your trip won't won't be fun and relaxing.

Dont expect great customer service from the waitstaff

Great experience lots of on-board entertainment

Order at least one case of bottled water in advance. $8 for 12 bottles isn't a bad price, it's cheaper than at the bars, and it's convenient to have it already in the room when you board.

If its first time on a cruise only plan one excursion at each port allowing enough time to shop with local vendors

Just use the stairs, they're much faster.

Make sure you are aware of the extras you have to pay for- we planned well and there were no surprises!!

Allow more time to get to the next show! We were interested in most, hard to pick priorities, overall they were all super!

Read the Patter! We found that we could schedule ourselves each morning after reading it! It was filled with helpful information and entertainment!

Figure out the layout as soon as possible. It will help in the long run.

Dont eat the desserts.

Learn ship layout quickly. They give a map use it. Read carefully daily activities. I missed some early in cruise.

Stay away from buffet food and buffet coffee
