My family and I enjoyed our Alaskan/Canadian cruise very much. We were able to all eat in the onboard buffets, dining rooms, swim in the pools and hot tubs and explore new cities together. The views were incredible. For cruises in general, I'd suggest bringing sea bands or medicine for motion sickness, as that did affect some of my family. Prepare for the cold, most days on our trip were about 60 degrees F, but other than those few setbacks, it was amazing.

Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The Dining rooms exceeded my expectations greatly. We had set times to eat, the menus changed every night, giving a variety of menu options as well as dessert too. Our waiters were very kind and provided detailed answers to any of our questions.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
The activities were quite nice, considering there were four pools on deck. As for myself, being a teenager, there wasn't much to do when most of my family spent their time at bars and the on-ship casino and club. There was a 'kids club' area with games and others options to do as well.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
There were multiple fun games and game shows that brought laughter to our trip. The 'movies under the stars' was a very nice concept of an outdoor movie, although there were provided blankets, it got quite cold considering we were in alaska.

Service and Staff

Our staff on the Ruby was absolutely amazing. I never had a bad experience with any of the crew members. Our waiter, Riza, was always kind and helped us out greatly. As well as our room keeper, Robelito, he was very nice and funny at times, he seemed to always be able to clean our rooms when we were gone, even if it was for a short time period, and assisted with all of our cabin-concerning needs.
Ship Quality

The Ruby was centered around delicate artistry and paintings all around. There were beautiful murals and fun artist themed parts of the ship. Crew members were always cleaning and suggesting hand sanitizer for cleanliness. The ship never looked dirty and always felt home-like.
Cabin / Stateroom

The beds were very comfortable, we were able to watch television and had a hair dryer provided.
Definitely one of my favorite ports. I would definitely recommend taking the tram, there are multiple trails to go hiking on, there are many beautiful sights from above the city.
This day was more spent with family and looking at the glaciers. We spent most of our time trying to find whales and seeing the animal life. The views were incredible.
Ketchikan was the salmon city of Alaska, it's a fairly small town with a few shops and restaurants. We didn't do any excursions so there wasn't much to do for us, but we weren't in Ketchikan very long so it was alright.
Victoria was beautiful, we arrived later at night and got to see the sunset by the docks, which was very pretty. There were many shops and historic buildings to look at the architecture. The Parliament building especially stood out with the outlining lights at night. The only thing I could ask for is to be there longer.
We got off the ship very early in the morning which was a bit troublesome for a night owl like myself, but the crew and staff members helped us get off kindly and efficiently so it all worked out.
