A bucket list trip that's breathtaking and fun for all ages, all occasions. There's so much to do that you'll be wishing you had more hours in the day! I would definitely go back!

that the Medical Staff were not willing to see her since the accident occured on the ship. We put sa;ve on the wound, covered it with a sanitary pad and taped it to her arm every day this stopped the bleeding and let it start tp heal.

We absolutely loved everything about this experiences.....have over 500 photos to show everyone. The cruise to Glacier Bay was outstanding....Could not have enjoyed it more. Photos simply do not do this cruise justice.

Better Than Expected

Weather was cooler than expected, and rainy for several days, but overall a great trip. Lots of choices for shore excursions, wonderful food and attentive service. Activities for every age group and great entertainment. Minisuite (M1 class) was roomy and well-appointed. Club Class was well worth the extra cost. Learned belatedly there was a shipboard credit for veterans, but it was too late to get the credit. Bought a "Coffee Card" but didn't use all the punches, it did provide unlimited regular coffee and hot chocolate (maybe also tea) outside the dining room though.

Alaska Cruise

One main issue I had with this experience happened during check out. I wanted to have my on ship expenses directed to a different funding source than what was used for the booking of the cruise. When I tried to check out and do that, I was told that I could but then the charges would take two weeks to be returned to the current card on file. Not that this was an issue for me but I can see how holding charges like that for others could cause a financial issue. That was not acceptable. This should have been made clear either at the time of the booking or once on ship, to be given a chance to change or verify your funding source prior to any charges being made would be the more appropriate way of handling this.

This was my first cruise to Alaska. I had an amazing time and cannot wait to go back. I wish we had spent more time in Ketchikan though. My favorite part was Glacier Bay.

It was our first cruise and we really enjoyed it. All of the employee on the ship were very attentive and friendly. The employee also made traveling for my husband with his walker as easy as it could possibly be. We met a lot of lovely people and had great fun.

Overall cruise was excellent. Wish the ship had more shows to watch and comedians. The staff were very kind. If you book any spa packages beware that the price they quote you does not include a 15% gratuity that they add on to the bill. They will also try to sell you a bunch of extra items.

This was my traveling companions first cruise and I was convinced it was her last! When we arrived home on Sunday she was already talking about planning another one for next year!! What a surprise! I guess that says it all. Since I have a Platinum card with Princess you know how I feel about cruises. I love how easy they are. This was my third trip to Alaska and it is the state you never get tired of seeing.

Princess Alaska Cruise

We took this cruise mainly to see Glacier Bay, which was wonderful and made the entire trip for us. However, as a cruise, there was much left for improvement. My main complaint is the time allowed in the ports were not enough time to enjoy some excursions for wildlife viewing. It seemed the stops were geared for shopping trips and not so much sight seeing opportunities. Our last stop in Victoria B.C. was not only short but at night when it was impossible to enjoy a good visit to the Butchart Gardens. Very disappointed with port shore time schedules!

They had a LOT of maintenance issues going on the ship which included smelly painting (even interiors with little ventilation) and closed swimming pools and fountains, which made it very unsightly. The interior paint smell was very strong and would bother those with respiratory issues, as it did me. I felt major maintenance items should have been reserved for when the ship was dry docked, but not so on this cruise!

The service was very good, the food was good, not excellent, as their meats are all fried on a flat grill, including the higher quality steaks, which was another disappointment. The extra fee dining restaurants were not worth the extra expense; the meals in the dining room were just as good.

I have cruised with 5 other cruise lines and Princess would rank 3rd out of 6, so take that into consideration. I would classify it as average for an overall rating.

Alaska Amazing scenery and wildlife - but will not cruise with Princess again

Our first cruise experience with Princess Rubby was a disappointment.  My family have cruised with other cruise line before, and my kids said they disappointed from what was heard. The Rubby Princess folks spent more time nickle-and-dime their guests than attending to their needs. The first day of embarkation they broke my luggage (new luggage I just bought) - they gave us  boarding scheduled@ 1pm,  we  boarded after 2pm, and our rooms were not ready yet. The buffet available throughout the day was mediocre, some of the breakfast buffet food looks like the left over from the "elegant" dinning, lunch buffet left over from breakfast buffet, the anytime "elegant" dining served up tiny portions, even ice water, we had to waited/raise hand for a glass of water, (perhaps they were short of server). BTW fresh ginger, green tea, and honey works best for me with motion sickness, so I brought from home fresh ginger, but accidentally left it in the hotel room,  I got some motion sickness and asked for fresh ginger, I was told to go to the kitchen in Lido deck, I asked the Cabire kitchen, told to go to Horizon kitchen, I went to Horizon kitchen, a chef there told me "we don't have ginger", I replied "the Cabire kitchen told me to go here" he said "let me go and look", while waiting I talked to a server, that yesterday evening one server did gave me some, after about 10-15min. the chef came back said "you are very unlucky mam, the cabinet is locked and we don't have the key", I walked around to the other station and asked a different chef, I told him what happened - this chef came back gave me a good portion, and told me "keep it for next days". The Princess website identified many nice beautiful pools/Jacuzzi;  However, they are small, and 2 out of 5 Jacuzzi have the sign "under maintenance"  - the steam room and lockers need to be bigger to accommodate 2000+ guess on board - the steam room literately can fit 5 persons, and they should have an assigned attendant to assist guess in this area, some senior guess  have trouble using the locker, one guess found a lady from the "Spa/salon" desk for help with the locker, and I heard  she said "I can't stay here to open the locker for you all" !!! - and I noticed that the attendant greet/talk very nice to guess was there for "facial/massage" etc...but guess who comes in to use steam/sauna/shower room they don't care, The entertainment was ok if you had never seen a Broadway show or other more professional entertainment. Some of the server in the buffet the staff was, at best, I really like the waiter named Masykur Nasri, he was very nice, and very helpful,  his service  give me some plus to compensate the other minus from the ship.  We had an opportunity to speak with other travelers who were on our cruise, they too felt that the  Princess could have done a better job, especially the food. I would not recommend Rubby Princess.

Setting sail aboard the Ruby Princess

This cruise came highly recommended to us from friends.  Our cabin was very comfortable and rommier than I excepted...balcony was large!  Plenty space to hang clothes and a lot of drawers and shelves for clothes and stuff. Room was clean, clean, clean and our steward kept is straightened.

Food was good at the buffet, great at the seated dinners and really nice at the Crown Grill.  Availability of food was convenient as we missed the seated diner a few times due to our excursions. Enjoyed breakfast...so much variety.

Entertainment was fun.  Enjoyed music, piano, singing, magic and comedy. Heard 2 talks on Alaska and that was interesting.

Very nice view of the bow on TV and appreciated announcements from Captain (or whoever) for things to see as we sailed.

Crew was friendly...smiling and busting their butts everyday for us.  Appreciate that!
